Wow you make a cute baby! Here you can have my father-in-law's joke (I know I hear it enough):
"My son/daughter has my good looks [pause for effect] ... my wife still has hers."

Had a great day out w/the family today (2 of my sister and their families, parents, and my family).

Started with a game of "Who can lift the biggest rock"
Image
Which evolved into, lets uhh, build something w/these rocks:
Image
We huddled, got our thinking caps on and came up with a name. I present, "Forte":

My, my dad, and one of my brothers-in-law:

We were at a river that dumps into Lake Superior, due to the recent storms and flooding, this area was much different than usual, it was a great "new" experience. First we went up river:

And then the big boys went into the big lake:

Waves and winds were crazy, dropoffs and berms all over, 10' waves at times, which are quite high for this time of year, though not uncommon in the fall (that's me down after being wiped out again)
Image
My daughter Emlynn and my niece Acacia, checking their crayfish traps:

Came home to do fireworks, but we had company...and he would not leave. Took 20 minutes of hollering and banging to get him to move far enough away so we could get the kids into the house. Then a good 45 mins after that we went out to light the fireworks, and he came out of the woods to watch with us (we quickly went back inside, where we stayed for the night):

We had a really really great holiday.

Great pics, Mike! Shame I couldn't be there for the "rock lift" festivities. My kind of game.

He's a really nice dude. It seemed like he hadn't just had a day at the arcade in 30 years; he played Smash TV for a long time, and went head-to-head with my buddy Jake in a game of Robotron (which he won on his last life).

Star Worlds Arcade in Dekalb, Illinois. This was at the opening of Camp Robotron, a thing that's going on all summer in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of Robotron. Highly highly highly recommend going there if you're ever in the Chicagoland area. And if you do, let me know.
