Robert Leone Story (police brutality)

Post by brunoafh »

Okay, so I live in NY and there's this story floating around about this dude getting roughed up beyond oblivion by PA officers recently. As I walk through my neighborhood I literally see awareness posters about this story on every other telephone pole in the area. Seriously it's crazy. People are pissed about this. Has anyone else heard about this?

Apparently some bi-polar guy (I guess) got pulled over by some PA state trooper and beaten into oblivion multiple times, even after being brought to the hospital and taken into custody. Generally I don't trust cops one bit and have been smacked around by them myself, but overall I just want to see of if any of you fellows have stories or have heard about this Robert Leone bushiness? I'm not sure what to think about the situation honestly, but the videos and testaments lead to me think it's probably just psycho power tripping cops at their finest.

Disgusting. Fucking scum.

This reminds me of a similar incident in LA last year, when a bunch of cops beat a homeless man to death.

In some ways, this is worse. This poor guy survived at least, but he's currently locked up for the crime of taking a horrible beating.

I watched the whole video, and I actually started to shake after they hauled him off camera and continued to abuse him.

Just...Fuck man.

I dont mean to start a EU vs US argument or anything, but one would assume that in a civilized country like America (and NYC of all the places), you could trust the police force :?

I started shaking when he started howling in pain and had to shut it off after about 10 seconds.

We give people the power to do this shit. :(

I'm going into law enforcement and I'm also disgusted. Cops are like everyone else - there are good ones and bad ones - and you don't need a badge to beat the crap out of someone. That said, I've always believed officers should hold themselves to a higher standard than others. It's pathetic. There needs to be justice.

Too bad we never hear about the thousands of officers who do their jobs remarkably well...

There are a lot of "Just give me a reason" cops. More good ones than bad, but that doesn't stop the fact that a ton of cops have a ton of pent up anger.

And all they need is "probable cause" do knock the crap out of you.

That said, I say stand your ground if you've done nothing wrong. That and if a state trooper puts his hand on your trunk before talking to you, he thinks you're up to something.
