Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
I bought the Black Label release for Futari this morning on the IOS.
The gameplay is pretty good for my iphone 4, but I am not a fan of all the additional "optional" customization purchases. If I want to play Boss Rush Mode more than once a day, I have to pay to unlock it ?!
A couple of the achievements are not saving such as "All Stages Clear with Reco or Palm", but the others seem to be fine. The gamecenter achievement screen says 45 total achievements, but I am only showing 5 incomplete outside of the two I mentioned. 33+7 doesn't seem to add up quite right :/
Hidden achievements perhaps? Lets add each other and compare scores so we can unlock the multiplayer points.

Re: What shmup are you playing now?

Been having a lot of fun with this one! I can actually feel myself progressing and getting better with each credit. Not sure why I always thought it was so hard, it's not that bad at all.
I can't wait to get my MCZ3001DB chips in the mail so I can get my WEGA up and running again and jump into RS with you guys! I haven't booted that game up in what feels like forever...

Raiden Fighters series is great. Used to play on this one cab where the screen was so stretched I was never able to see my score but still had a lot of fun
As for now, playing and failing miserably compared to the 2 superstars on the Radiant Silvergun-TR shmup thread and patiently waiting for Ikaruga to arrive.

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
I'm playing it on the Raiden Fighters Aces port for the 360.
It's got some pretty badass music.
I also appreciated the fact they made a TATE version of the title screen (the screen where you have to press start button to get into the menus)
It's not in TATE when you first start the game, but if you enter the game and then back all the way out you'll see it. I don't think any of the CAVE ports even have that

I just had an insane Bullet Soul run.

1LC'd (One Life Cleared) the 1st loop!
Took a good chunk out of the TLB (True Last Boss) before I finally died.
SO close to the 2-ALL!

Re: What shmup are you playing now?
Bullet Soul is def on my list of games to get. But then again, the same could be said for any other region-free 360 shmups available.
I played a bit of In The Hunt last night, if you wanna call that a shmup (I really don't). It's the only Saturn game I had to test to ensure my Saturn is in working order. I did find some AV cables, but had to switch out my DC's power plug. Anyway, that's not really the point of this thread. So I just wanted to point out that as awesome as the sprite work is, In The Hunt is a pretty bad game. I hate that it's not auto-scroll, which means playing for score is going to be broken if you can just take your time and milk points.
Are there any good underwater shmups?

G Darius has some underwater levels, but it's a bit blocky for my taste, I dont' know that it takes advantage of the "underwater" potential.
I've always heard the SAT-J version of In the Hunt (Katai Daisensou) plays smoother than the PSX and SAT-US version, no first hand knowledge though.
Dolphin Blue is a run n' gun that auto scrolls you and has underwater areas that are amazing.
