I'm pretty with Mike on this one. Dude's want to have a company -- big or small -- then customers' satisfaction with the service and product should probably be important to them.

I agree with all of your points. Being able to be a pleasant person makes the customer experience much better. I just have different expectations of the people I interact with; I come in expecting crap and walk away pleasantly surprised.

My copy came in the mail yesterday, whoo. Hope it's good.
One thing I find really weird is how all of the NG.Dev boxes I have are in japanese. What's with that?

Most sales of the (big money) homecarts are to Japan, not sure on the DC stuff. Obviously they are using the DC-J color scheme, so makes sense to follow suit I guess.brunoafh wrote:My copy came in the mail yesterday, whoo. Hope it's good.

there is a website, but this release is a run-n-gun like Turrican. Not a shmup.retrosportsgamer wrote:Is there a website where one can order this DC shmup releases?

I think o.p said it came out to like $90 shipped US$ right? It seems a good deal, but I'm not that interested in Gunlord. The other two games I am, but I'm not as big a fan of run-n-guns as I am shmups.mjmjr25 wrote: Newcomers bundle is the best deal, "3 shmups for one money...is...really gooood."
Re: Gunlord confirmed for Dreamcast in December!
The game is pretty fun. It reminds me of a 80-90s DOS platformer which is cool. It's nothing mind-blowing but nice visuals and an above average soundtrack. According to the manual there are 9 levels. I got 3 levels in and the difficulty steadily increased. It seems like there's "more to it" or something though, like there are moves I've yet to unlock or figure out yet. Barely out of reach areas via jumping, reappearing barriers with things hidden behind them that look destructible, areas in view that seem out of reach entirely, etc. So hopefully as you progress there will be like new moves or something that will give the game more re-playability.
Oh, and there are hori shmup levels in-between stages. They aren't very good or imaginative really, shmupin is shmupin.

Re: Gunlord confirmed for Dreamcast in December!
so i finally got my newcomers bundle aparently i had to sign for it and they wernt leaving me notes that they missed me until i got a final notice today. i have one problem with these games though none of them will play in my on my dreamcast in my bedroom it just gets past the sega swirl and freezes on the screen that says sega this is an independent game. but it works flawlessly on my dreamcast in my living room. now both of my dreamcast play burned games no problem and both have the model 1 version stamped on the bottom. what gives?
