What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I've seen enough movies to know what interests me. Madea does not.
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I love how South Park is dead on with certain things.

Fair enough. You have one movie to win me over, what'llitbe?Luke wrote:Don't judge movies you haven't watched.
Fine to say "I'm concerned" or "I'm expecting more" from trailers, but c'mon.

An absolute visual masterpiece, but I'd like to throttle the man responsible for the audio mix. I don't see why it's so hard to understand that making such a cacophonous soundtrack 10 times louder than the dialogue makes the movie damn near impossible to watch. I had to turn the subtitles on because I couldn't understand what anyone was saying without deafening myself 5 minutes later when someone screamed or Goblin started banging again.
It was never truly scary, but that's neither here nor there.

Hm. *looks through TPS dvd collection*.
Family Reunion isn't as good as the stage play. Still a lot of fun but not my first choice.
Diary of a Mad Black Woman is great, but it also feels like the head writers of Lifetime and BET got together to make a film.
Hmm.
I suggest MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY. It is a bit sappy, a bit corny, but you will laugh your ass off. The plot is a little thin, story is a tad predictable, but you'll laugh your ass off (see, I'm even tough on movies I adore).
The acting is solid though, and when the jokes work, they work. And don't let the trailer fool you, it's not all slap stick humor and one liners.
Oh, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ain't bad.

Sounds pretty consistent with everything else I've been hearing.Luke wrote: Oh, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ain't bad.

It's on Watch Instantly. Let me know when you're watching this, Stark, because I'm ready to rake it over a bed of coals. Also, "Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family".Luke wrote:I suggest MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY. It is a bit sappy, a bit corny, but you will laugh your ass off. Look at it this way guys, next time Luke criticizes something you like, you can retort with "Well you like Tyler Perry movies, so yeah."

It's an improvement with similar flaws.AppleQueso wrote:Sounds pretty consistent with everything else I've been hearing.Luke wrote: Oh, and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ain't bad.
But still, it is an improvement.
And Sabrage, I think "Tyler Perry" is implied with anything remotely associated with Tyler Perry.
Get your coals ready BYROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOeheheheheheheheheheheheN.
