SHMUPS Or Fighters for DS

Post by NathanBarnatt »

Anyone know of any good shoot em ups for DS. I have Contra. Anyone ever play Musha for Genesis? That was fun. Anything like that?

EDIT: how about any semi basic side scroll fighting games like Street Fighter. I have Bleach and love it but I'd like something more simple. Anything exist?

I'm not keen on Nanostray 2, as it has a lot of horiz shooting, but the original Nanostray is awesome!

Nanostray 2 is fun BECAUSE it has a lot of horizontal shooter sections. It was the first time I played a game where the two genres were mixed and it sort of came as a revelation to me. Also, its fun. How can you complain :P

Contra isn't a shmup, it's a Run 'n' Gun. I know that Metal Slug 7 is coming out for the DS (already out in JPN).

EDIT: I know that Metal Slug isn't a shmup, I just wanted to list another run 'n' gun since you mentioned you have Contra 4.

Oh ok cool, I just thought of a shmup as anything with tons of ammo flying around. In that case any other good run n guns out there?

It would be easier if they were both the same genre wouldn't it? :P

I already mentioned Metal Slug 7, that's all I know of right now.
