Avatar (airbender) fans: Legend of Korra release date!

Hey I was wondering if anybody has read The Promise? Its a Trilogy of Avatar: The Last Airbender graphic novels published by Dark Horse Comics and written by Gene Luen Yang. It is canon to the series with the events of the novels happening about 1 year after the ending of Book 3. Part 1 and 2 of The Promise are already out and part 3 is coming out September 26th 2012. I thought they were enjoyable and they are very affordable (About $7 each on Amazon)

Apparently there's gonna be two seasons, which we already knew, but season one isn't over yet. Each season will be split into two books. What we saw of season one was book one. Season one book two will air in 2013. Then season two will consist of two books as well. Weird.

The Legend of Korra was initially conceived as a 12-episode miniseries. Nickelodeon later expanded it to a full 26-episode season, and in July 2012 again to two 26-episode seasons. While Nickelodeon divides the series in two seasons for administrative purposes, the creators conceive of it as consisting of four separate "books" composed of 12 to 14 episodes ("chapters"), with each book telling a stand-alone story. The Legend of Korra is intended to conclude with the fourth book.

So for all intents and purposes, I guess we could consider each book it's own season since they'll be stand-alone stories. But when the show comes back in 2013, it'll still be considered season one. Kinda confusing.

First two episodes of Season 2 are out. I just finished the first of them. It was good, but something is bothering me.

I know Korra is hotheaded and silly, but why doesn't anyone suggest she take a break learning airbending from Tenzin in order to learn about spirits from a specialist? She doesn't have to stop being his student. She'd come back after some training. Why so possessive?

I read the air date for the first episode in late August, but I forgot to set my DVR, and I finally remembered to check today. I missed the first two episodes, I'll have to set my DVR to catch up. Then I'll be watching them as they air.

Everybody yelling at each other is getting really annoying. What happened to the fun?

Damn Netflix. I was slowly getting caught up on Avatar so that I could eventually start watching Legend of Korra, and they pulled the series down. Geez. Add this to Green Lantern the Animated series and Justice League Unlimited being cancelled, and I just can't catch a break with animated programs right now.

Just watched episode 3 of Legend of Korra Season 2. The ending had me wanting more!!!!
