Why does everyone hate Bubsy?

I quite like the character and i felt the first Bubsy On Megadrive was okay but the second game was a step back.

Sonic's level design is also built around the fact that you're going to be moving fast.

Actually when careful platforming is needed, the game slows you down. Very careful design. Really, Sonic stage design blows my mind.

All of those "Animal Mascots with Attitude" blend together in my head. Bubsy, Awesome Possum, Gex, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, Sparkster, Rocky Rodent, Punky Skunk, they're all cut from the same cloth.

Oh come on, Sparkster and his games are on a totally different level than 'animal mascot with attitude'. They deserve a bit more credit than that, surely?

Also he was more cutesy originally. He didn't adopt the 'tude until the sequels.

I had never heard of the game before (at the time), and it came with a bunch of genesis stuff that kick started my genesis and retro collecting, so I bought it (with the other stuff). I eventually played it though, and my Lord was that a piece of s***. Worst game I have ever had the displeasure in playing.
