Together Retro: Guardian Heroes
Re: Together Retro: Guardian Heroes
I'm so down for some XBLA play guys. I'll buy the game shortly.
And Flake, I promise one day I'll get the Saturn version. But for now its Xbox for me. Besides, like Noise, I want to play online with you guys!
For the others on Xbox Live, feel free to add me. Forgive my complicated gamertag, I hope its not too hard to remember: CFFJR

Let's get this started:
Hans is the man...for the first three or four levels. It seems like no matter which path I take, he just does not cut it once you get towards the end game. Is there any trick I am missing to mitigate his lack of magic?

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Together Retro: Guardian Heroes
Guardian Heroes is one of my favorite games ever, and one of the reasons I bought a Saturn in '96 when everyone else was buying PlayStations. I've never regretted it.
I do have to say, though, I've never beaten the game without using the 100 life cheat. I recently tried with the stock 10 on normal and made it almost all the way to the end. Maybe I'll take this opportunity to try again.
If anyone is in southeast Michigan and wants to have a go at co-op, I'm up for it.

I also have it on XBLA. Sold my Saturn version, I think.
But I don't think my internet is up to snuff, as some of you know. So I'm not even going to bother getting a paid membership to play online.
Maybe someday..

Re: Together Retro: Guardian Heroes
I've always found Han to be the worst character. Randy's my main choice just because his magic not only gives him great crowd control, but the big spells like the laser, tornado or lightning (which is uber-spammable) pretty much level him up every time you use them. No joke, if you use the laser in the first room of the game, you should get a level up straight away, regardless of whether it actually hit someone or not.Flake wrote:Let's get this started:

I'm looking for a good deal on XBLA Gold so we can all co-op. I picked this up for 800 points just for this month.dsheinem wrote:Me too for the 360. I'm downloading it on XBLA as we speak...
I may just play this instead of the Saturn version (which I also have) since I have played that one through several times. Other than updated graphics, is there anything else extra in the XBLA port?
