Same here. Just a lame game. As a general rule I don't like playing as a speck of dust.

I tried the demo for Pacman:CE and it was cool. The controls were a bit off, but I think it's due to the 360 controller and not the game itself. I need to buy a third party controller if I'm going to keep retro gaming, because every game I play seems slightly off. I was never good at Pacman, but there's something so damn fun and classic about it.

Yeah, I don't know about Undertow and Small Arms. They seem more focused on multi-player, which is fine but I like something that is fun on single player as well. I tried a demo for Exit, which seemed interesting, but it had some annoying voices and the main character moves too slow.

I downloaded Rez HD, which is stupid because I have the PS2 version, but the game is classic. Playing it again on my 360 was fun. Oddly enough, I found the bosses a bit harder, but I read somewhere the difficulty is based on your hit percentage or something and I was getting close to 100% on everything, so maybe that's why they seemed harder.

Anyway, keep the suggestions coming if you have anymore. I'm getting kind of addicted to the cheap, but fun Xbox Live Arcade experience. Damnit though, they need to pump out more beat'em up classics. There's some people on Gamefaqs E-Mailing bombing Microsoft and doing some kind of petition for more beat'em ups including X-Men Arcade, Simpsons Arcade and others. I don't know if will really accomplish anything, but thumbs up for the effort.

Metal slug 3
Alien Hominid HD
oh and Ikaruga (obviuosly)

Many more worthy of a look. But much too tired for now. Sleep time.

I got undertow for free. I thought, great i'll get some free achievement points on this. Turns out I hated it so much I couldn't put myself through playing it.

AVOID.

P:CE has excellent controls. Are you using the d-pad? If you are it's terrible, I just use the analogue stick and hold it in the direction I want to go, I never have any problems with that.

I downloaded the demo for metal slug 3, and all I got was slowdown and it seemed to run like 10% slower than the arcade version. Avoid. Get metal slug anthology on Wii/PS2 if you can. It's better value in the long run.

Ikaruga is pretty good but I still prefer the DC version. I don't know why....

If you don't have the DC version get the 360 version.

Odd. It runs fine for me. Or maybe because I don't have something better to compare it to, like the anthology pack, I know no better.

I have the arcade original :P and the anthology versions.

The anthology is the closest i've seen without emulation.

Metal Slug is cool, but I'd rather try any MS game other than MS 3. Not that it isn't a cool game, but the difficulty is a bit insane compared to the other ones. I mean that last stage is just EXCRUCIATINGLY long.
