AHHH dammit. Once again I made it to the last level and beefed it. It kills me. Deathsmiles is the sort of game I'd be so proud to my first 1CC. So close you guys. <pull it together, noise.>

Yr making the final boss, on the bonus level? That's impressive dude! Keep going!!

It might be easy to survive the first 5 levels, but level 6 is a bruiser and that boss is tough - the extra stage the game picks up a lot, that is a difficult level and the boss just keeps reinventing himself.

wait no, not the bonus level. I can beat all the "regular" levels and then I'm given a choice between a bonus level or the final level. So I go to the final. Is that wrong?

I think most people who go for 1cc skip the bonus due to the dramatically increased difficulty. It's usually used for scoring.

I don't see why not. The OP just needs to change it. I started playing this for the first time in a few months. I would really like to go for the 1cc before playing for score again. I was hitting about 10 mil on the first few runs.

I had no idea this was even emulated yet, assuming its an accurate version, no reason why not. I'll add it (and yr score) soon.

How much slowdown is there in Deathsmiles? I do notice some in Mame like on the swamp level at 3rd difficulty and also 4-1 are some of the more notable levels where I can detect slowdown. I haven't played it on Xbox or Arcade can anyone compare?
