Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold Screen mode?
Hi. I have a quick question that I can't seem to find the answer to. I'm playing Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold on the Sega Saturn (as part of the Street Fighter Collection) and in the options menu you are able to toggle between saturn mode and arcade mode for the screen. I tried this option, and it doesn't seem to change the size of the screen. Does it do something else, like toggle the extra sprite frames so that it's "arcade perfect?"
Re: Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold Screen mode?
No but it changes how much of the overall picture is displayed on the screen. In "SAT" mode, the full picture is formatted to fit on your TV screen as best as possible while In "ARC" mode, the image on your screen is left in its native size so the overall image is not completely displayed onscreen. To make this more simple to understand:I tried this option, and it doesn't seem to change the size of the screen
enable "SAT" mode and during gameplay walk your character to the right corner of the screen (notice how much of their body you can actually see onscreen) then switch up to "ARC" mode and repeat the steps for results!
Standard Alpha 2 on the Saturn also provides this feature. I just wished all other Capcom titles on the platform provided this

Do you have Night Warriors on SAT because I think this game also provides this feature...

I know that Vampmire Savior has this option as well.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I have the US version of Darkstalkers on the Saturn. I didn't even realize that it had this function as well! Makes sense though, since it's also a Capcom fighter. I just can't get over how great these sprite-based fighter look on the saturn.CD AGES wrote:Do you have Night Warriors on SAT because I think this game also provides this feature...
