As cool as the loot chest and Marcus bobblehead are, they'll just collect dust for a while, then be packed away. Even though I wish it wasn't just GS that had the preorder in game extras, I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet. So I went after work and was going to line myself up... and they tell me that you can't preorder the PC version in store.
WTF?
So they lock up exclusive bonus stuff to the store and screw players and because I want to play it on PC I get fucked again by having to pay shipping.
I noticed the store had been redone and the glass cabinets behind the desk were totally gone. Come to think of it I didn't see any PC games at all there either.
My Gamestop recently cut back on their PC selection as well. Now all they have is Blizzard titles, Sims stuff, and the latest COD. Dissapointing. I never thought the day would come that I would consider Hasting's PC section the best in town.

I haven't seen PC stuff in a lot of Gamestops around here for a long time. Most kept them for a while, but gone are the days when I could walk into any EB Games and pick up a nice, used PC title. My local store still advertises them and still has a decent selection (At least, I think they do. But that just might be because the other shops I've visited have squat), though I don't have a PC powerful enough to play any of the new releases.
the PC shelf has certainly been lackluster for quite some time, but I think there might have not been anything. Not being able to preorder the game and pick it up at the store is asanine though. Obviously they're not intending to stock it at stores at all. I could maybe understand if I wanted some unproven game or 3rd tier something or other that I could change my mind and stick them with. Borderlands sold great and they have exclusive stuff FFS.
Yea that's incredibly stupid that they wouldn't have borderlands 2 available especially with all the promotions they are doing at gamestop for it. My gamestop still has some PC games but it's just half of a little stand alone rack. I think there's more dlc card space then there is for PC games.
Retail stores stopped carrying games because it's impossible for them to compete with digital downloads profitably. Activision can get away with it because they have a built-in fanbase who will buy their titles regardless of the price they set, which rarely changes. The "master race" comment made me laugh; we're not seeing these titles in stores because we're getting them at steep, steep discounts elsewhere.
I'm pissed that all my local gamestops have really shitty copies or just case but no game or game but no case with gamecube and ps2 titles. Here I found mvc2, mega man x collection, outrun 2, capcom vs snk 2, r type final, and fatal frame 1 and 2. I had a bunch of credit and sure enough they can't find the games or the games were so scratched upit wasn't worth even trying to bring it home in which i already did once with games. I'm sure people bitched about this already but WTF!!!! All these great games gone
Went to a Gamestop I don't normally visit and I couldn't help but notice the lack of Gamecube games they had. My normal Gamestops still have quite a selection of Gamecube games. Was it announced when GS will stop taking in Gamecube games?

I think so.
Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? ~ZeroAX

I don't think they've officially stopped yet, but they seem to have perpetual buy two get one free on the used stuff (and PS2 and PSP). I would half expect it when the Wii U comes out though, or soon after, since if nothing else they need to carve space out for the new console.
