It reminded me a lot of a Marvel Comic with the recurring characters, the animation style, and the well written plots. It was more than just your average "good vs. evil" theme you'd get in most 80s toons.

I meant that most everyone forgot the "other ghostbusters" cartoon

sorry if I worded that wrong.

heres a pic of the forgottenness!

I just watched "The Real Ghostbusters" episode last night, while it was a fun series to watch as a kid, there is no way I am paying for the DVD set.

I remember "Ghostbusters" as well, and I also remember being very confused. I know wonder what intellectual property law loophole allowed them to use the "Ghostbusters" name...

In any event, I read through the enitre thread, and Breetai is apparently the only other person here who remembers Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears (i.e., the show that started the "Disney Afternoon" but is now largely forgotten):

I am also suprised that there is not more love for Darkwing Duck...considering how well most of us regard the NES game.

Finally, my wife and both fondly remember "The Flight of Dragons":

Are we the only ones? It was never really released on DVD, but we are tempted to have Amazon press a copy for our children to enjoy.

I used to watch it on the Disney Channel when I was younger, back before they started shoving a bunch of live action shows into their line-up. I remember watching re-runs of that, Chip n' Dale, Aladdin and...
I am also suprised that there is not more love for Darkwing Duck...considering how well most of us regard the NES game.

I think they had Tale Spin on at some point too, but I've never really been fond of Tale Spin.

I also watched a ton of old Hanna Barbara cartoons on Cartoon Network back before they shoved all of that stuff off on Boomerang. Those were happier times...

What do you guys think of the 90s, rad-ified version of Duck Tales?

I really wish there was a Donald Duck cartoon done in Don Rosa style :( More mature humor, good voice actors and the same excellent drawing style and plotlines that Rosa's comics have.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box
