Direct deposit.

That won't solve his issue if the woman has a question about his time sheet. Still, I do think everyone should use direct deposit.

Got this on Monday.

Went outside a bit ago, got melty, and got it installed.

I do have to go get 2 longer muffler hangers as it lowered the rear one about 3/4 inch, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Now to look for a hitch mount bike rack and a cap. 8)

Frown: Work is making me so sore

Smile: But I've gotten some serious muscle over the last month due to it, so that's cool.

Yeah. Direct deposit wouldn't have helped.

I turn my time sheet in to the woman who writes out the checks and whatnot. She, in turn, has to give it to one of approximately 4 people who have the authority to sign the time sheet, usually the same woman.

The woman in question had a question about one of the entries on the time sheet, but she never bothered asking me about it. Instead she brought it up with the woman I was meeting with on Tuesday, at which point it was explained to her why it took me a little bit longer to work on their Newsletter than normal. Having to reformat a couple of pages and swap/re-edit photos (especially when they're sort of crappy) takes extra time, damn it. (The woman I meet with who gives me most of my tasks used to work for the local newspaper and has a much better understanding of what the hell it is I do. The woman who signs the time sheet seems to think that everything I do can be popped out in under an hour). Anyway, the explanation must have been enough because the time sheet was signed, but I guess she still wanted the other woman to talk about it with me, so the sheet never got back to the woman who writes out the checks.

The woman who puts the checks together was very apologetic about the whole thing, not that it's in any way her fault. I mean, I did sort of initially think that the check was late because of her. I knew that she was off a few days this month, so I was expecting to get paid a little late, but turns out it had nothing to do with her. The reason I haven't been paid yet was because someone didn't feel like sending me an email or picking up a phone for 3 weeks.

I guess now when I write out the time sheets I'm going to have to include a paragraph with each entry now. They'll love having to read through that :?

Frown: I just tripped and spilled a glass of water on my desk. Casualties: a stack of NES games and a rather nice pair of headphones. I don't think any real damage was done, but I don't know it wasn't, either. The irony of it all is that I tripped on something that wouldn't even have been in the way if I wasn't attempting to clean my room.

Smile: ...I can finally see my floor! And walk without high-steppin'

Have you ever had a work day where you go in expecting everything to be a big pile of shit for you to wade through, only for the stars to align and have everything go smooth as butter?

I love those days. Man that feels good.
