Need Help on Finding PS3 Faceplate Replacement!!!
Just bought a used complete in box 60GB PS3 for 325. Only problem is that it came with two big scratch on the faceplate. I know it is no big deal to some people how their system looks as long as it works, but for me it is just a sight for sore eyes. Does anyone know of any place that sell or does a faceplate replacement for a reasonable price??? Maybe I can take this opportunity and have a custom faceplate for my PS3.

Nope, but doesn't mean you can't take it apart and put in a new one right??? Besides, it was bought exactly 1 year 1 month ago, so the warranty with sony is gone. The guy who sold me also bought a protection plan from Gamestop but that plan doesn't cover scratches. I can't stand the gloss finish of the PS3. It somehow attracts a lot of dust and don't get me started on the fingerprints. At the same time, I really don't want to change anything that will make it different from the original. Who knows, if I find a really awesome custom plate with the right price, I might change my mind.indecks wrote:I don't think the PS3 has detachable faceplates, do they? I've never tried removing mine.

You're right. There is no official case from Sony being sold and many third party's looks like crap. Custom paint job, though very nice, cost over 100 dollars so that is out of the question. I guess I am going with vinyl faceplates or "skins", which is only around 15 dollars.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:no faceplates for ps3, only skins, or you can always send it in to a 3rd party to have them repaint and case the whole thing.
