GBA shmups?

Post by Hatta »

I've been playing a lot of GBA on the xbox with my stepdaughter recently. She likes the Pokemon games a lot, but is more than happy to sit and watch me play a shooter for a while. I stumbled across Gunstar Future Heroes last night, which totally rocks. I'm looking for some more traditional shmups too, got any recommendations?

There are the Iridion games, but I'm not a big fan of those.

How about Astro Boy: Omega Factor? It's not a shooter, but more like Gunstar Heroes. Some great action and very colourful.

Gradius is on the GBA.

SNES is excellent for shumps though.

R-Type 3 is on the GBA. A great Run 'n' Gun for the GBA is Alien Hominid.

Link to the Flash version.
