Baek, Bruce and Ganryu make their return.
These guys made their long awited return in the 5th installemnt as well as its upgrade Dark Resurrection. Just sayiin. Also, I cannot wait until Tag 2 drops in september :D
I think Baek was in tekken tag also. But they're not staple characters like King, Hieachi, Paul, Yoshimitsu, Kazuya etc that are in pretty much every single one.

Yeah he was. As a matter of fact everyone on the series up to that point returnede in the first tag as tekken tag was always meant to be a dream match where even dead characters make a return. Beak Ganeyu and Bruce made their legit return in 5 though, where they are included within the games running storyline.

Sideroller wrote:Didn't know where else to post this and didn't feel like starting my own thread. I've been playing Tekken 6 online for about two days now, and I seriously feel like I don't deserve to even own this game. 80% of the time I'm getting my ass kicked.

I'm like at that stage where I can easily beat someone who maybe only plays fighters casually or not often at all - but can't play against anyone who's memorized as much as one combo. T_T

I've been playing as Law and have been trying to practice a lot more in training mode, started learning his combos and figuring out how to come up with my own. But as soon as I go back online I just have all it thrown right back in my face.

Does it get better? I can memorize combos but I'll have trouble timing the presses I think, so I can pull a combo off completely maybe 50% of the time.

Anyways, please help me. I feel like pulling a bag over my head.
Unfortunately, the online doesn't get better. The good news about it is that losing online may not necessarily be your fault. Tekken 6's online is plagued with horrible lag issues, even on good connections. Even at times where it seems like it's smooth, it could have just enough lag to make you unable to defend against certain moves or properly punish your opponent's moves. I have seen some of the best players in the world lose horribly online. The true make and worth of a Tekken player is how they play offline. If you have friend's you can play with in person, I highly recommend you do that over playing online. If playing online is your only option, then my only advice would be to hold out until Tag 2. From the sound of it, the online if going to be a lot better than 6.

The lag is what kills Tekken 6 online for most players. In fact, most tournament playing friends I have don't even touch online. I have lost matches knowing that I shouldn't have lost. I've been hit by moves that I know 100% that I've blocked. The best way to win online is spamming safe moves. It makes you look like a scrub but it's funny to get messages from people who are mad that you won by spamming. Playing Tekken 6 online is a whole different game from playing it online.

Don't beat yourself up too much about losing online. Your most likely playing a lot better than it looks online. Keep practicing with your Law in prep for Tag 2.

Not sure if you know this but the best way to learn how to play tekken and different character strategies is http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com
Go to the forums and scroll down to Tekken 6 and go to Character Strategy and Combos. It has sub forums for every character. Players lay out ever possible combo, match up strategies, and videos of matches. Each character forum is moderated by some of the world's top players who use them.
