I'm guessing I got the good ending.

Dabbed a bit into 1-1 last night, yeah this is gonna be nuts. I hope it's doable with this build.

The Dark Souls end-game boss should satisfy you then. More or less the same kind of fight, but way harder.

I actually thought Gwyn was easier then Allant. I solo'd Gwyn my first time and I don't think I died once.

I'm going to try a pure strength tank soon I think I'll do it in dark souls though. Get a good weapon with the highest strength scaling I can find and build around that I think since I just started a character to help my friend who just got the game. He was pretty excited when I dropped him a+5 lightning spear in at the undead parish. Glitches are great for starting new builds fast and easy.

Everyone will have a difference experience with bosses in these games depending on their play-style and build. I use 2-handed swords with no shield and rush, so after I got used to Allant's pattern he wasn't a big deal for me. His attacks are very damaging but extremely slow. Gwyn on the other hand is highly aggressive and does huge fire and physical damage and requires defense or magic of some kind, rushing him with no shield and low defense was pretty much impossible no matter how high my damage output was.

I think I'm seeing what you mean about NG+ now flex wood. I'm just getting completely destroyed and it's almost impossible to do any real upgrading at this point, definitely stuck right now...

I've been playing a lot of dark souls lately so I don't know if this applies to demon souls as well bit from what I've been reading in DaS it's best to get a weapon that scales with a stat really well and upgrade it as high as possible and get the stat up pretty high too. I'm thinking about jumping back into demon souls to try it out and see for myself but I'm having to much fun invading people and being a dick in general in dark souls. Chameleon and wrath of the gods in sen's fortress is just hilarious and the hate mail is even better.

So I picked up Dark Souls tonight because GameStop was giving away the gigantic guide (reg price $24.99) if you bought it new for $30.

I picked the 360 version since they seem to have a slight edge on PS3. Is there anything out there to differentiate the two?

Just realized Demon Souls never came out on the 360? I guess I need to grab that for PS3 then (I usually like to keep specific series to one system - rats).

Gameplay wise I don't think there is much of a difference but I've heard that 360 has a big problem with cheaters using game save editors.

I have that guide as well after the first patch a lot of info in it became wrong. I would definitely look into the patch notes so you can know what to be aware of.

The main thing that was invalidated was the numbers. The location of items and the maps are still extremely useful, as are the description of boss attacks.

Some of the boss strategies are crap now too though. Iron flesh was nerfed pretty hard I think all the defensive spells were actually. I believe they are planning a patch after the dlc is released butt don't Europe me on that I think I read that just not sure.
