Regarding the Classic Games Fest event they are doing for run n' guns/shooters on 6/29
Do you know what time this event is?

He also gave us the green light for setting up a meet on the 8th of July.
I'm thinking I can make this.
Excellent. It will be nice to have everyone gaming together again. A few trailers set up a food trailer court next to the bingo hall across the street from Game Over. That could be be a cool place for grub afterward.
I have no idea what time the CGF starts on 6/29. I think the last event I went to started around 8pm. I'm just going to head over there after work and loiter until things happen.
Hey, does anyone have an HDTV around 32" that they wouldn't mind bringing? I'm considering lugging along the PS3 with Under Defeat HD and it would be pointless to try to play the New Order mode on an older CRT.
The Game Over event was pretty fun. The same guy won the Mega Man and Contra speed runs. I wasn't there to witness, but I heard that the Mega Man speed run was won by .49 secs.
Met a really good Donkey Kong player from Colorado Springs who had actually seen my video of the Penny Arcade there. I talked with the Mega Man/Contra player for a bit and he is an inhumanly good Galaga player, too.
OK, so meet up stuff for the 8th.
I talked with Bully and Brandon (the pirate looking fellow who's been to a few of our meets) and both of them should be coming. I'm still working on phaedrus, but he really wants to stay home and watch EVO live streams (he was supposed to go this year). My other friend Joe is working on transportation.
So we have:
Hobie-wan
quintorro
Redline9
Bully
Brandon
phaedrus (maybe)
Joe (maybe)
and myself.
Just got word from Game Over and we are a go for the 8th. I will start setting things up around 12:30. We will start things up at 1 and shut it down by 6 and then possibly move on to another location (arcade?) to hang out.
Feel free to bring games and systems. I was going to make this a shmup/run n' gun themed meet, but we can play anything if we have the time (or room). Bring CRTs if you've got them, too. Game Over used to have several, but they have been distributed to their other stores as they have expanded.
