cool. I tried it for like 5 mins, so just let me know whenever you end up grabbing it and I'll try to work on it around the same time you are.CFFJR wrote: I'm totally up for playing Jet Set Radio Future. I'll have to pick up a copy, but that's no big deal.

Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Challenge 2012 - have you started
I just played OOT a little bit longer and - ugh - would there be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth if I were to get rid of it from my list? I think I have too many RPGs on my list (I know, Zelda isn't an RPG
) and my time with OOT has already made me consider parting with all the 3D Zelda games I own
I am also going to replace SMB3 because even though I have never beaten it, I have played quite a bit of it over the years and so it kind of falls outside the intent of the challenge for me...
I am debating replacing them with two of these:
-Gauntlet (NES) - I believe this can be "beaten" unlike the arcade version
-Capcom vs SNK 2 EO - A GCN game that I never have beaten in arcade mode or really spent much time with
-Power Stone - I am debating playing this one via the PSP Power Stone collection (which I can play on my Vita) - is that viable?
-Lethal Enforcers II (PS1) - becasue I played the first one many many times but this one only a few (and never through to the end)
- Virtua Cop II (SAT) - same as above...
- The Last Blade 2 (DC) - because I have no fighting games on my original list and this is supposed to be excellent. Might play Garou instead, if people can make a convincing argument (as I don't generally care for the FF series as much as most other SNK fighters)
- Wing Commander (PC) - because I have never played any of these
Also, I think I am going to get started with Diablo II today or tomorrow. I have played Diablo III as both a Demon Hunter and a Wizard (and preferred the latter). Any class suggestions or other general tips since I am moving "backwards" in the series?

I'll have an xbox by the end of the week, but I already have the game. If you guys wait until next week I'll join in on that game too.noiseredux wrote:cool. @Dave... finally someone else hears me on OOT. Though don't get rid of Wind Waker without giving it a fair shot. I love that game.
You should think about Capcom Vs SNK 2, as it's truly great and has an excellent roster. I think I'd probably say I like CVS games more than the MVC games honestly. They have more of a SF Alpha feel to them I'd say.
Also, Garou is surprisingly good. Though the roster is really small. I will say it's probably the best FF game I've played. But if you're not a fan of the series at all, then I don't know if it would change yr mind. Maybe go with CVS2.
@SB: sure I'm in no rush. Cthulhu Saves the World has been very time consuming anyway.

I think this is my top choice for a fighter, but I have heard great things about The Last Blade 2 also. Anyone who is very familiar with both have an opinion?noiseredux wrote: You should think about Capcom Vs SNK 2, as it's truly great and has an excellent roster.
@Noise If I go with CvS2, what do you think I should choose for the second game?

can't speak for Last Blade, but I stand by CVS2 being one of the best of the Capcom crossovers out there. And definitely a bit sadly overshadowed by the MVC games.
If you pick CVS2, I'd go with one of the two light gun games as your second pick.

The thing is I already have Time Crisis on my list, so I am not sure if I should just stick with it, add a second light gun game, or (less likely) swap it out.noiseredux wrote: I'd go with one of the two light gun games as your second pick.

oh I missed that you already have a light gun game. Yeah I don't really have a pick for you then. Just pick something from my list instead

-Cthulhu I may play with you but not as a summer challenge game (since it doesn't really countnoiseredux wrote:
-I've played X-Men, Daytona, Vice City, SOTN, (some of) Ninja Gaiden Black, and Sonic Adventure (the last of which is horrible)
- I can't get into the Jet Set games. I am not very interested in IP since I didn't like Heavy Rain.
-Garou is a possibility, but I haven''t heard a good argument for it against CvS2 or Last Blade 2...
tldr: your list sucks. Remember when we had a lot of crossover? OIFORGOTURUINEDTHAT

why doesn't Cthulhu count?
Yeah, don't pick Garou over CVS2... I'm enjoying Garou a lot, but CVS2 is the better game.
Ninja Gaiden should be yr style. How much of it did you play?
