My Video Game Themed Wedding

Post by jay_red »

Aspects of our wedding is popping up all over the internet! My wife just got us published on When Geeks Wed, a website completely dedicated to all things geek, nerd, and awesome! Check it out!

We have been super busy the last couple months, and have just now gotten the source pictures from our photographer...all 1500 of them! My wife and I picked some of the highlights of the wedding that showcase the video game nature to share with you guys.

Some teasers, check the album link below:

**original post**
After lots of hard work our awesome wedding invitations are finished! We spent a lot of time on these and ended up revising the original idea a bit, making it a little simpler, but just as sweet. We have seen a lot of video game related invites, but I am confident that ours are one of a kind, never been done before. The goal was to make it as close to an actual CIB Genesis game as possible, and we did a pretty good job IMO.

So without further ado I present to you...Super Wedding Fighter II Turbo Championship Edition!

I wish our wedding invitations had been so badass. :(

But noooo, my wife wanted pretty invites, with a color scheme and cursive text!

BAH!

Seriously though, those are awesome beyond belief.

That's pretty fantastic. Did you buy a bunch of throwaway genesis carts and swap the labels on them?

I love it when people do unorthodox things with their engagements/weddings. As long as they're actually funny, and not just painful to watch like the Chris Brown choreo wedding....

Must be pretty nice to be marrying someone who's actually on board with an idea like that. Congratulations.

yes!

awesome!

When you have the eventual kid and baby shower you should use Gamegear games!

I can already see one of your guests putting your invite in their console and getting this game on their screen....

Best wishes.

Printing labels seems a lot more fun than having to tie bows and add needless pieces of sheer paper to three hundred envelopes.

Hope you keep an invite for yourself!
