2 problems, with SNES and GBA SP

Post by mysticx »

Hello all, i'm new here, and decided to start out big, i have two problems that cropped up this week, namely:

My SNES (EU standard model) gives no sound through the left sound-channel when i use the 3-wire cable (i tried three cables, all of them have the same issue), not when i use the SCART-adapter nor when i plug the red/white/yellow plugs into my TV directly, when i use the RF-switch from my NES the sound is fine, but the image is fuzzy >_<

Secondly (Really not my week, is it?), my GBA SP, "20 years NES"-edition irregularly crashes when i play GB/GBC games on it, sometimes in seconds, sometimes hours, the screen freezes, sound turns into a soft buzz, and it doesn't respond to the buttons anymore, GBA-games work just fine though...

I hope somebody here is able to help me, thanks in advance for any help you can give me

check and see if the AV cable's contacts (where it goes into the system) arent bent or gone.

Maybe theres no sound/bad picture since something may be bent.

Your GBA is old. Mine does this too. I put a GBC/GB game and the same thing happens after a while.

Since GB games are bigger and your cartrige contacts are worn, just about any nudge or movement may mess up your game.

I ended up buying another GBA-SP. Maybe you'll have to as well.

I checked the contacts on my SNES, they look fine, but it's probably something inside it then...

As for my GBA, i'll go looking for another one, thanks for the help anyway, i'll go and mourn their deterioration for a while now
