Unknown console

Post by CreX_NL »

Hello everyone :)

Today I saw a console on Facebook wich I have never seen before and I can't find any info on it. Judging from the controller it could be some kind of Megadrive/Genesis clone, but I'm not sure. Is there anyone who could tell me more about this console?

It's from Asia for most likely Asian markets, it looks like a md/genesis clone but it looks like it has a disc tray mechanism, but it has a cart on top. I googled some words but came up with nothing. Weird device there, but all the Google searches lead me to something about Hong Kong, if that helps any.

NES clone of some kind.

I got more results searching for the game cartridge. "TV Game Cartridge" shows a lot of similar looking products that all seem to be compilations of NES software.

A quick google search says it is a console that was sold on QVC. Sure you can find more info if you use google-fu.

It's famiclone, the cart is a good indicator (I have a few "TV Game" carts). They have Mega Drive shaped famiclones over at volumerate.

yup. they are famiclones.

Pirate nintendos.

there have been some pics where they try to imitate current consoles. I seen some PSone shaped and OXBOX shaped. Some are even N64 controller shells with an nes inside!

They are all over. Especially in the the Asian market areas. You may have a store that sells famiclones near by you. If you are in a major city head to some mom and pop retail stores and you should find one for about $25 bucks.

heres a site that i've bookmarked. It hasn't updated in a good while, but it still should have lots of stuff there.

I actually used to own one of those. Super Joystick? I saw two Jedi's, never heard of it before, it was cheap so I decided wth why not.

It advertised like 3000 or so (something like that) games when in actuality it only had about 50 unique games.
