$47. I actually guessed this and it turns out I hit it dead on.

Yeah there are several converters online you can use.

@Bradtemple87,I know people have said, "Oh God no, not another Shmup". but seriously, this game is pushing the system to its limits. Look at all the features it comes jampacked with!
I play as many shmups as anyone else on the forums. All I said was that it reminds me of Gradius. I always pick up new shmups. I just pre-ordered my euro version of DoDonPachi Dai Fukkatsu Deluxe from NCSX because it launches next month with NTSC console compatibility.

Thanks so much SB! $47 looks to be a good price IMO, especially after paying close to 80 for Fast Striker LE (It was worth it though as i just love the game and put so much time into it trying to 1cc it). I wonder if Gunlord will have similar price to what sturmwind goes for? because if it's the same price as FS then ima have to skip on NGDev latest creation :/

It definitely has a Gradius feel to it. Being really REALLY into shmups, I am not really a fan of Gradius (I know, blasphemy) I would still like to give Gaiden a try though.

I still think the game looks fantastic. I dunno, its just hard for me to NOT like a shmup. Most other genres have to win me over, but shmups have a shoe in the door, so unless a game does something that really puts me off, I usually enjoy it enough to keep it on the shelf.

The nice thing is, unlike modern releases, these DC indie releases tend to keep their value, and in most cases end up being worth more than they were at launch. So, worst case scenario, you made a decent investment.

I will agree with you though Brad, Gun Lord is the one I am really excited about. It looks so much like Turrican, which is great!

It looks pretty don't get me wrong, but do any indie games really have the capability to push the DC hardware when all of their engines and tools to program for it are custom made and don't actually use official DC dev tools that would otherwise take full advantage of the hardware architecture...

By the way, anyone know whats 35 euros in US currency?
I wouldn't say it pushes the system to its absolute limits, but I will say that with KalistiOS they have pushed it pretty far.

I don't remember if I told y'all about that new 3D homebrew development engine.

I so wish we could embed videos here but anyway, that isn't runing on Dreamcast hardware, but that engine is. The guy was going to do the vehicle test demo on his Dreamcast and PSP versions of the engine, but is just so busy coding it at the moment.

Here is an old thread I posted many other videos of this engine actually running on Dreamcast hardware.

Looks like I had to dig up this ol' thread here on account some solid gameplay footage recently posted for this game. 3 level playthrough on hard setting.

WARNING!!! Spoiler ahoy!

This game is never going to come out. Pisses me off because I paid full price for the collector's edition.

Looks great, fewer power ups should show up though. It´s like they use power ups to avoid it getting boring.
