Re: Nintendo 3DS
I highly doubt that'll fit into my pockets. Trying to maneuver the stylus in games like Kid Icarus Uprising is going to be a pain in the arse. It's hard enough trying to stay in the right zone for the 3D to work on the normal 3DS, a bigger screen will mean you'll have to put your face even further from it. People complain how games like KIU give the hand cramps if one hand is used on the touch screen and the other to hold the system... so they make it heavier? Yeah, I'm happy with my original.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
It's not just the weight. It's how you have to position your hand on the smaller device.
I never put handhelds in my pants pockets. Not an issue for me. My current 3DS case is made to fit a DSi XL so this works out nicely.

Just shake the thing. You're only limited to 20 coins per day anyways.GameMasterGuy wrote:Someone hasn't heard of Play Coins.ZenErik wrote:It's not just the weight. It's how you have to position your hand on the smaller device.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I never used my 3DS much, to be honest. Play Coins isn't smart enough to detect the motion from being in a backpack?

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me?

So.... the 3DS XL doesn't look like it will fit the current circle pad pro. Seems like they've effectively killed that little peripheral with this release.

Why does everyone assume they won't make an XL version of the circle pad pro?equalsign wrote:So.... the 3DS XL doesn't look like it will fit the current circle pad pro. Seems like they've effectively killed that little peripheral with this release. Games won't be able to ship with it anymore.

Because they would have built the circle pad pro into this model.BoringSupreez wrote:Why does everyone assume they won't make an XL version of the circle pad pro?equalsign wrote:So.... the 3DS XL doesn't look like it will fit the current circle pad pro. Im actually pretty happy with my lil 3DS, battery life isnt that much worse, same size as a DS lite (horray for not having to buy another case), compatible with the circle pad pro, cheaper.
I kind of like how the XL has actual buttons for start, select, and home though
Edit: and the original is MUCH more attractive in my opinion.
Edit 2: I kind of hoped that the XL model would have two slots for 3DS games
