In need of some Capcom!

Post by christopher85 »

There's just something about the crap that Capcom puts out that has me sold. Playing Resident Evil: Rac City then onto Darkvoid I realized one thing, that I really enjoyed these games. Can anyone think of other Capcoms so called flops that they really enjoyed playing?

You'd probably just waste them anyway.

Bionic Commando
Lost Planet 1 & 2
Resident Evil 5
Devil May Cry 4

These are newer Capcom games that were panned by a fair amount of critics or fans, though RE5 sold ok I think. I've actually been meaning to try the new Bionic Commando and Dark Void. I played both their modern 2D counterparts, just not the big releases.

Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4 were their last good games to me. The rest can burn in a fire.

I so hated Bionic Commando. I'm absolutely in love with the series. The NES is one of the greatest games ever created. And the Rearmed remake was a pretty dang good. The Game Boy Color sequel was one of the better GBC games, too. So I went into the XBox 360 title really wanting to like it. But the irradiated ground thing really made an already hard game just absolutely maddeningly hard, IMO.

I picked up a copy of Bionic Commando (360) for $5, and have yet to open it. Really hope it isn't as bad as everyone says.

Also a fan of rearmed and the nes original. And the gba port in Capcom Classics is perfect when sitting on a plane or a road trip.

I need to google "BC rearmed soundtrack" and see if it is available for download.

Every time Sega published a really awesome game by Platinum I would think, "This could have been you, Capcom."
