The town I work in (Duluth, MN) is just as bad particularly the hospital I work in, feet, not inches, of water throughout.

So far, save a few zoo animals (our zoo flooded, there are literally wild animals loose...or dead, around town) everyone seems relatively safe. A lot of cars fell into roads as they just buckled.

An 8yo boy fell through a road and into a sewer drain, and the water was running through the drain at an estimated 25 miles an hour, he popped up at a different drain over a mile away - and is "ok".

Crazy day.
Yea my gf was talking about the animals from the zoo this morning it all sounded pretty crazy. Did they find the polar bear? I heard the seal was alright.

I was gonna shoot you a message to see if everything was alright with you it sounded

ugh, I hate having to pick this shit up at the post office.
The UPS dude who occasionally delivers me packages knocks once and then hops right back into his truck. I don't mind because he leaves the package on the doorstep, of course.

Since I live in the woods I have to go to the post office for nearly everything (there's no mailboxes on my street). It's a pain in the ass because I work 8:00-3:30, the window of time to pick up packages is 8:00-4:00 and it takes me just about half an hour to get from my workplace to the PO.

@Flake - yeah, were good. I had to go to work of course and took 3 hours (a legit 3 hours) to navigate traffic and side roads. So called home and told Amy to get everything of value up high - but we have 3 drains in the tile floor and a workhorse of a sump, so as it tried to crawl in, we kept it at bay. Only real damage is upstairs oddly enough, the driving rain blew past our chimney cap and we have some soft spots in the ceiling drywall surrounding the chimney.

@Flex - all is well yeah, google the pics of those seals - crazy stuff, seals swimming down roads, but they made it. A bunch of birds drown and almost all the farm animals drowned, only one mini-horse made it :(

Of all the images, Lake Superior is the oddest, it is a deep brown (from all the sand / dirt / sewage) run-off. Usually it is such a crisp deep blue, it looks really weird - it'll settle in a few days i'm sure, but odd how much that changes the entire landscape in this area, that massive color change.

Good thing he found the morph ball early on.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

To properly read an IGN score, check if it's under 6, between 6 and 9, or 9 and 10. If it's under six, double it and subtract 2. If it's between 6 and 9, just add one. If it's between 9 and 10, subtract 3.

- Awful day at work today. Just flat out awful. Wanted to walk out again, fuck I need to get this stress under control.
- Parents are out of town, so cue my younger sister bringing in strange people in and out of the house throughout the day.
- Almost midnight and she's back, I hear arguing, doors slamming, I open my door wondering what the fuck is going on, hear her crying in her room, she opens the door walking out crying... I hear the idiot who got her pregnant and other random people talking downstairs, I ask what the hell is going on and she says they're leaving. They're gone, but damn I was inches away from going berserk on them. I swear if I see that guy one more time I will rearrange his face. Didn't mean to yell at my sister there, but what the hell is going on.

I can't fucking wait to move out and escape.

It's not my business but I want to tell her to keep him away from me. I seriously feel like I am so close to snapping and have no idea what I'll do to him. She is completely self destructive and this guy has just fucking dragged her down for years. She won't wake up. It's the worst thing in the world to say in regards to the child, but my parents and I are just hoping the baby completely breaks them apart for good eventually within a year or something. I CAN'T believe this guy will change at all. He's a piece of shit.

Geeze, I'm glad to hear that everyone is relatively okay here, what with all the goings-on in the past few pages. That flooding is terrible, and I'm sorry to hear about your family troubles, Xeogred.

Smile: I finally put my Mockingboard sound card clone into my Apple IIe today. I booted up my freshly-arrived copy of Ultima IV and it sounds awesome -- particularly when pumped through my incredible stereo system:

Quite the home theater setup, amirite?

I won't share a frown because I've been down a bit lately and would rather focus on the happy stuff!
