What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Jim carey has dropped out of the dumb and dumber sequel because. . . The studio wasnt excited enough? Or something. Doesnt make much sense to me, Im guessing they werent working fast enough to get it in production but still wanted carey to sign a contract. . .

This has already been mentioned (a lot in this thread actually). It's what you call Payment Posturing.Jrecee wrote:Jim carey has dropped out of the dumb and dumber sequel because.
Do people here back read before posting?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I saw everyone talking about the sequel in a way that it sounded like it was still on, and read back 3 pages, not seeing any mention of Jim Carey dropping out, so i posted my thoughts on it.

inglorious basterds
awesome movie. love it. love the characters. mélanie laurent might be the beautifulest thing any two humans have ever conceived on this planet.
jackie brown
awesome movie, but was expecting more of a QT vibe to it, similar to reservoir dogs and pulp fiction. RD and PF has a "unique" feel to it about how it was shot and how many of the scenes came together and were delivered. jackie brown had that generic look to it, like any old director could have put it together. it didn't have that QT feel. and did they really waste all that money on robert de niro to play a quiet pothead? he looked awesome with his mustache and slicked back hair but i wish he had more a role that required some acting. it seems anybody could have played that role.

if you took a shit, please put it back
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Jackie Brown is deliberately low-budget to ape the feel of 70's blaxploitation movies. If you're not into that genre, this is not a film for you and Tarantino has stated as much at least once.final fight cd wrote:jackie brown

It's like a sequel to COFFEE in more ways than one.sabrage wrote: Jackie Brown is deliberately low-budget to ape the feel of 70's blaxploitation movies.
