FF5 is my fav final fantasy of all time and the only one that ive done a 100 percent on, i feel that we got gipped here in the US for not getting an original release

Heh, that's how it is for me and FFIV, but mostly because I only just recently acquired this FFV cart. I like taking a break from my computer to look at the TV screen to play my games, so it's much nicer to have a physical cart and not only play it on actual hardware.

Rydia (I almost forgot to put her name in spoiler tags!). Also, did you not do the Land of Summoned Monsters sidequest? It's pretty important. Bahamut is definitely your best summon, but there's another important summon in the Land of Summoned Monsters

There's something else lurking in the castle of Baron. Talk to the guards who are spooked over something in the basement. Warning: you cannot get this summon until after you get the Asura summon from the Land of Summoned Monsters sidequest.

As for the best place to grind some more, maybe

the Sylph cave if you are not able to last long on the moon. Wait, have you even gone into this cave yet? If not, I do recommend it.

I didn't do Baron or Sylph, but I guess I may as well if you think the level raising potential of them is worth it. I did do the Cave of the SM. Right now I am just fighting battles in the moon caves/moon surface.

I really hate this about some RPGs: I played through the standard story and several sidequests, did everything at a relatively even pace, didn't run from many fights, etc. - yet still am expected to do a lot of leveling before the end boss. It's like they ran out of story, so they make you suffer for it.

Literally the only time I grinded in FFIV was when I needed Rosa to learn float, which required her levelling 2 levels.

yeah I hadn't really decided on a credit-limit or anything yet. Truthfully, I enjoy beat-em-ups a lot but I'm not exactly good at them. I've always been a quarter feeder where the genre is concerned.

Usually beat-em-ups are played co-op with my wife and a bunch of beer. So credit-feeding is a given and it's more about just having mindless fun.

Question about the XBLA port -- can you play local & online co-op at the same time? Meaning, if we wanted to could me and my wife be sitting here and both of us play co-op with you online so that all three of us were playing together?

That's cool. You should do whatever is the most fun! Like I said, I was just curious, as I remembered playing online with some people who could have had a controller on auto for all I knew.

Anyway, yes, you can definitely mix local and online players. My wife played through the game with me a few times with a team of 4 strangers. You can have any combination too, with say 4 people local and two online. The PS3 version works the same from what I've heard.

which Tomb Raider are you playing? Im playing through anniversary now.

I'm playing Chronicles. I played a couple of levels years ago when it was new, but I never finished it. I figured it was about time.

Anniversary is great stuff, but I have yet to finish it either. Its been a while since I picked it up, but as I recall I had just made it to Egypt.

Played some more Grim Fandango tonight, I'm in the 2nd year now (of 4). I'm searching the town of Rubicava for some stuff, and jeez, this place is huge. It's a little threatening in the adventure gamne genre to be given free reign to such a huge space - so much to explore, so much potential to miss stuff!

I'm in the same position, unfortunately. I'm well into FF4, but other than that (and its been a week or something since I've played it) and one level on Tomb Raider, I haven't touched my list at all.

which Tomb Raider are you playing? Im playing through anniversary now.

I'm about to start the original! Anniversary's basically just a remake of the original right?

I just beat Kingdom Hearts after much struggle. I hated the game all the way through the end when I suddenly...don't know what to think anymore. But I do feel like I've finally reached the level of cool all my junior high friends had attained back in the day.

So I think next I will play Tomb Raider. Should be pretty quick and not too hard right? I was really excited to be able to play a game with a wireless controller from the couch when I learned the hard way that Tomb Raider is one of the few games that doesn't work on a PS3. Oh well. I'm excited to finally play this one!
