Since im not a collector... don't care
If i care for the sticker i would need to replace my Megaman X3 on the SNES. If the game works fine by me.

It's pretty easy to print a new sticker.

Ive ended up with a few of the Pokemon games from my really young cousins that the labels had been ripped off but those are color coded so its not a huge deal for me. other then that though i tend to stay away from anything with the labels ripped off, they just look really ugly in the collection.

Thanks a lot for the answers, they really helped me. I'm now convinced not to buy them (the price is 15$ for all of them, and they look legit).

I've learned that a cart without sticker is not a valuable addition to the collection but it deserves a place if you plan to play it and later replace it for a better one.
I'm planing to play Oracle of Seasons, but i can emulate the rom on my DSi XL till i will find the original in a good condition.

I can deal with having games with worn labels. I can't deal with games with damaged labels. Games with no labels.......not gonna happen with me.

Also the games with sticker-less labels also raise the issue of whether it's a legitimate cart or if it's a pirated cart so that's another thing to consider as well, unless the actual cart is a specific color that matches the game (like the black SNES cart for Killer Instinct, the various colored Pokemon games, etc.,).

The only case I'll accept stickerless carts are the extremely rare. IE, if I found an American Mother test cart that was labeless and was written on in sharpie, then I would buy it. A Pokemon game without a label? I'd be suspicious of a pirate cart.

A game store near me has been trying to sell a label-less Streets of Rage 3 for $35. It's been there for about two years.

When It comes to atari 2600 games I had fun with unlabeled games.

When I was younger I would find them real cheap and sometimes even cheaper with no labels.

You could kinda guess what it was when It was an activision or parker brothers cart.

Only to find out what it was when you took it home.

but hell no, I would not pay for an unlabled SNES or genesis game.

Well prototypes are a completely different can of beans since they probably won't have a sticker to begin with. It's like Indiana Jones when he finds the crude-looking Holy Grail and just about as likely.

Also labels sometimes lie too, I've bought carts in the past that had their PCBs switched. Probably ex-rentals that somebody stole by switching out a game they didn't want for one they did .

What if a torn label game cart might be a rarity? Not for money value but a chance to play an uncommon game. At least for the portables easy to test the nameless carts sitting on the Swap Meet table.

I take a Retrogen (the portable clone not the new SNES Genesis clone) with me to test games sometimes. I want to get one of the SNES portables sometime to do the same.

It would depend on the game for me. Like I said, for me as long as its staying in my collection for my enjoyment I don't mind doing some restoration. I totally understand how this is anathema to some collectors though.
