I am jealous of those of you ticking stuff off. FF4 remains the only game I have put any reasonable time into, and it lint's even getting close to done, I am guessing.
How long is Sly Cooper? Star Fox?
Snickerd00dle's Summer Challenge 2012 - how is it going?
Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Challenge 2012 - have you started
I'm in the same position, unfortunately. I'm well into FF4, but other than that (and its been a week or something since I've played it) and one level on Tomb Raider, I haven't touched my list at all.
When I've had time to play games lately, I've been playing other things and ignoring my list. Bad bad.
Hell, I've had Silent Hill 2 on the couch next to me for an hour because I intended to play. Instead, I'm still sitting here dicking around on the internet.
I'm thinking of changing some items on my list. Just like last year, I'm finding I don't have the motivation to tackle some of mine, for whatever reason.

I'm with you there. I'm enjoying the game, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like switching out Zelda OOT for something a little shorter.dsheinem wrote:I am jealous of those of you ticking stuff off. Judging from one of the previous save entries on my game and howlongtobeat.com, it'll take somewhere around 30-60 hours to finish, depending on how much I roam around and/or get lost. Knowing myself and how long it takes me to get things done, I'm guessing it's going to take me somewhere closer to the later, which means I'm only about 1/3 of the way through (Unless any of you would like to give me a better idea of how long you think it'll take. I'm all ears). Which is fine, but I'm not sure I want to tackle something along the lines of Zelda right after that.
So, yeah. I think something shorter to switch out with Zelda would be better. I'm thinking Indigo Prophecy. It's on some other people's lists (which will be a great motivator), and it's a hell of a lot shorter.
So, new amended list:
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Indigo Prophecy (PS2)
Ducktales (NES)
I am pleased

I think I am getting near the end of FFIV...
I'm about 18 hours in (probably more like 20 given a few deaths along the way), and am starting to see the light at the end of the table...
So far I like it well enough, but not as much as Chrono Trigger, which I played for this challenge last year...

My characters are all around level 38-43 or so. Am I going to need to do some grinding? I can tell you that I am not interested in doing a lot of sidequests....though I already did one to geto.pwuaioc wrote:dsheinem wrote:I think I am getting near the end of FFIV...
Yeah, you're close.
Re: Snickerd00dle's Summer Challenge 2012 - have you started
Hard to say with this game. The last level you just finished should not have been a walk in the park with those levels. This part also ramps up difficulty a bit, so yeah, if I were you, I'd grind a bit. Unfortunately, you just left one of the best grinding spots in the game.dsheinem wrote:My characters are all around level 38-43 or so. Am I going to need to do some grinding?
