I've never had a FB, MySpace, Twitter, LiveJournal or any of that stuff.

I use facebook to take advantage of it's messaging and "clubs" features to keep in touch with friends I have overseas. I barely have anyone I know personally added as a friend and I don't have any personal info on my page.

this site here is only for the hardcore that care about all the attention they get/create.

I learned about this from wired magazine.

I doubt I'll make a blip from that site. But for some that use that service there are perks.

Everyone on my FB friends list is someone I know online or in person, except for my representative.

I actually don't add people I've met online. Even people I've internet talked with for years. Everyone on my FB friends list I've met in real life at least once. I will take them off if they annoy me, or happen to piss me off in real life.

I mostly use it for learning about parties and such, other plans, and general talking with those whose phone numbers I do not have.

Smart man.

I had Livejournal from the year 2000 until about 6 months ago when I just got sick of it. It was really useful back in college to discover new bands/upcoming shows as there was no other place I could find that stuff on the 'net. Most of my LJ friends abandoned the site years ago with the advent of Facebook and whatnot, so I followed suit.

Now Facbook I use mainly to keep in contact with the wife (sounds stupid, but she travels a lot). Beyond that the site doesn't interesting me at all. I'm mostly an introvert and have no desire to "reconnect" with anyone from my past. And I loathe reading status updates: they're either absurdly boring ("I just ate waffles") or really forced attempts at observational humor (these people ain't Seinfeld).

I always felt that MySpace was for teenage girls and Twitter is just an eyesore to look at.

No social networking for me. It just seems like a bother.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

I don't use FB but I do use LinkedIn. I only connect with people that I have worked with in the past on a real basis. Just being at the same company does not count.

I do use twitter but only follow a few people and never post any updates.

I have a Facebook just out of peer pressure, mostly. I have a Twitter account because my job sort of requires it. I have a Google+ account because I'm a die-hard Google fan. :P I hardly use Twitter, though, except as a fancy news aggregator.
