It had been a while since I had gone pawn-shopping, so I hit up all the ones in town plus two antique stores (I live in a small enough city to do that). Came up with this by the end of the day:

The two Xbox games were $3 a piece. One of the crummier pawn shops underwent a serious rehaul and decided to get rid of all their GCN, Xbox and PS2 games at that price. Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest and Star Wars: The Best of PC I got at an antique store I've never visited before for $6 each. Got the DVD for $3 at the same place. I'll be going back sometime. Super Mario 64 I found at a really small antique shop for $7. Spent a total of $22 plus tax, so I feel I got a good value for my money.

Damn I'm fucking jealous. I've been looking for Dracula X! Want to trade?

Went to a rummage sale and picked up a N64 with an expansion pak, 2 controllers, 2 rumble paks, and LoZ: Ocarina of Time for $10. I really didn't need to buy it because I already have 3 N64's, but its always nice to have another expansion pak and spare controllers.

Finally got something cool to talk about after a fairly lengthy drought with my pick ups:

It works great! I crossed some wires when hooking it back up (put a coin in Donatello's Coin slot, but had to play him with Raphaels controls. And my son put a coin in Mikelangelo's slot and then used Donatello's Controls to play as Raph), but once I get that straightened out and some new locks installed it'll be smooth sailing. The sticks/buttons, sound and monitor are all in fantastic shape though and he kept it very clean. Even came with the owners manual!

I paid $450 for the machine, and since I was having trouble getting a truck lined up (the guy wanted it gone FAST) I ended up paying him an extra $50 to use his truck and trailer and he helped us move it out of his place and into mine.

$500 total? Definitely not too shabby!

I wish I lived in a bigger area, would make finding stuff like that a lot easier.
