What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

ticked: Got one of those missed delivery slips. Looks to be a controller I ordered. I was obviously home all day, as was everyone else, so the fact that the postman didn't bother knocking or anything at least so I could sign for it is really annoying.

ugh, I hate having to pick this shit up at the post office.

It could be worse. He could have chucked it onto your lawn.

Well it's fedex, what do you expect?

I'm pretty sure if they'd just tossed my saturn controller on the lawn the controller probably would've been fine. At least I wouldn't have to waste any time.

True. But, if it had been the guy in the video he probably would have drop-kicked it.

Nothing really pissed me off today :)

Smile: dunpeal2064 explained scoring in espgaluda to me, and my best score went up almost 30% :D

Someone should make a reference for the scoring systems and syntax. Or point me in the direction of an existing one.

for shmups? here: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1896

I don't know why I had never gone there for scoring in espgaluda, it's where I learned strategy/scoring for all my other favorite shmups. This is going to keep me busy for a while.

I wanted something more generalized, but I guess some of the more intricate ones can't really be reduced.

My town (Esko, MN) is inaccessible, roads washed out, everything is flooded.

The town I work in (Duluth, MN) is just as bad particularly the hospital I work in, feet, not inches, of water throughout.

So far, save a few zoo animals (our zoo flooded, there are literally wild animals loose...or dead, around town) everyone seems relatively safe. A lot of cars fell into roads as they just buckled.

An 8yo boy fell through a road and into a sewer drain, and the water was running through the drain at an estimated 25 miles an hour, he popped up at a different drain over a mile away - and is "ok".

Crazy day.

The real question: Your new arcade cab? It is well?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
