Wrestling sucks big time now I agree....

What I wonder is, were people who were in our current age felt the same about wrestling back in '96 or '87?

Like is it an age thing? or does wrestling seem cool when you were 12 no matter what? because kids today seem like they enjoy it as much as we did when we were younger, or maybe that is because they don't know any better?

But hating on Vince? Really? Why? He was one of the best onscreen villains wrestling has ever seen, and behind the scenes he was arguably the biggest mastermind behind the 80s wrestling boom and had a big part in the 90s wrestling boom.

Everything that happens in the WWE falls on his shoulders, and right now WWE wrestling sucks, really, really sucks. So yeah, I'm hating on him. Who is ultimately the guy keeping Cena on top? Who greenlit Lesnar losing his first match back? Who keeps making sure that Jim Ross gets made fun of for his medical condition? Who is ultimately the guy holding pro wrestling back?

I'll give you three guesses, and they all start with V

and I'm rather skeptical that things would be much better under Hunter's rule, as I think he's already been corrupted enough by Vince's influence as well as his own personal ego.

Did any of you see last week's Impact? AWESOME! All of you complaining about the current state of the WWE (which I don't blame you) should be watching TNA. They're past all the crappy Immortal BS and Ric Flair being too old for his own good and taking up T.V. time. The focus is back on the in-ring talent and wrestling and the up and coming wrestlers.

We had an incredible opening match with the X-Division Ultimate X Match. Before Sabin got injured (what a shame considering we were all hoping for the Motor City Machine Guns in WWE), Sabin and Aries were back and forth and back and forth in an incredible display of skill.

We also got a great stipulation with Austin Aries going for the TNA World Heavyweight Title. The same move cemented The Ultimate Warrior to main-event status in the WWF when he put his Intercontinental Title on the line against Hogan for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania VI.

And the main-event between Mr. Anderson and Bobby Roode was also great. These are two of the best guys in the business today. We got to see a PPV quality match. I was really hoping Anderson was gonna be the guy to take the belt off of Roode, but no go. And surprisingly enough, it was a clean win over Anderson. You really don't see that too often anymore unless it's a squash match.

And the ending with Sting was great. It left me wondering what the hell and wanting next week's episode to be here already. And how cool is it that Sting gets the first entry into the TNA Hall of Fame? He deserves it. Did WCW ever have a hall of fame? I hope he got inducted into it if there was.

As far as I'm concerned, TNA is the only wrestling show worth watching anymore. WWE is back to mediocre comfortableness again.

I hate Ryback. He does the same shit every week and as far as I'm concerned he's just a jobber. Yeah, that's right a jobber. Until he gets in the ring with someone who isn't a nobody and doesn't weigh less than AJ, he's no better than a jobber

This is the stupidest push I've ever seen a wrestler get in my entire life. Look! I can beat up scrawny kids. I'm awesome! Cheer for the WWE bully who doesn't want to get in the ring with anyone who isn't smaller than him. Wow! What a badass

I'd love to see someone like Kane or Mark Henry come out after Ryback's next pointless math and squash him in five seconds! Because after weeks of him beating up scrawny kids, the only logical conclusion one can draw is that he knows if he gets in the ring with someone his own size he will get his ass kicked

I think the writers and bookers in the WWE come from another planet.....or Vince does.

See, I watched this last night, and felt that TNA is still poor especially compared to when I watched it in 2006/2007. Seeing RVD overweight wrestling in slow motion was painful. Abyss coming out from under the ring only for Bubba to throw himself over the top rope. There was a general lack of story to any of it, and the main event I found pretty boring. Maybe as I still think of Roode and Storm as Beer Money and haven't followed TNA for a year or so now, but I just wasn't interested in it. Although I like how Roode has changed his image and looks like a main eventer now. As for the Sting thing it just looked cheap, there was hardly any commentary on it. I don't know if TNA were trying to do the "we're so shocked we can't talk about this" angle but seeing Sting getting beaten up by three anonymous guys for at least 10-15 seconds with no moves done on him, no weapons, the fact Tazz stopped talking and they left him getting beaten up in silence, it just looked cheap.

Ever since Hogan and Dixie came TNA just fell off for me. And coupled with WWE blowing it after Wrestlemania, I've gone right off wrestling recently. Wrestling in Africa is huge and they use the tried and tested formula of gimmicks and rivalries. And the wrestlers are sworn to secrecy regarding their identity and real jobs. I feel this whole Twitter thing and talking to wrestlers on their days off has taken away the aura of "superstars" too.

And yeah Gamer, I hate Ryback too.

Oy. I love Paul. I love his drive. I love his attitude. And, saints preserve me, I love that iconic bald spot and rat-tail his Yankees cap covers.

But I do NOT like how he runs a company. Deficits upon deficits, burning talent to a crisp (granted, the WWF's travel-schedule grinds talent to a pulp before we even see any of them shine), and did I mention that ECW repeatedly bankrupted itself?

Heyman should be head of creative though. Sure, he's put out some wildly stupidly crazy ideas... but even the nuttiest ones resonate with the common denominator. That means more fans, more attention, and more draws that.. eventually... translate into more dollars.

But like I said, keep that man away from the books!

TNA in the post Russo era has made strides - at least the stories make sense (WWE> hey). Logic rules.

Is it true they don't have a DVD distributor any longer?

^ In the vein of ECW, and with the current product so god-awful - there's always DVD releases! The new ECW (and on blu-ray with extra matches to boot) one looks really promising. I always make sure I buy these to show support for the product direction.
