I quit smoking back in November. I do have an addiction to mountain dew though. I go through a 24 case in two days.

I had a friend that was like that with Coke. He quit cold turkey at one point. I like soda way too much too, but on a typical workday I probably average 2 cans.

I was the same way for a long time. Especially when throwback came out (and at one point Livewire). I'm now down to maybe one soda a day.

I kind of forgot what soda tastes like, but I imagine it being very offensive to me as it's been years since it's hit my tongue. Water and booze only for me.

HA! You guys don't mean the meaning of addiction. I can go through a six-pack a day of the Mountain Dew if I wanted to, without breaking a sweat.

BTW, congrats on quitting smoking. I did about 3 years back after 8 years of smoking just shy of a pack-a-day on average. It's tough as hell, especially getting over those last 1 or 2 a day.

Of all the things I do, I think I'd have a harder time quitting soda than anything else. I've cut back from two a day to two or so a week, and I've been hating it. It's not the caffeine that I miss (I can get that from tea), it's the bubbles. I love that stuffed feeling and the burping I get for a few minutes afterwards.

I feel sick if I drink more than 2 cans of soda, and my teeth feel like they will fall out.

And yet, this is true of me as well. Starting the day off with a soda is also pretty bad, it makes me feel like crud the whole day.

Not neccasarily sure if its a habit as much as an addiction, but I ALWAYS blame myself. If I was there, and there had been any, even the narrowest chance that I could have caused it to have a positive outcome, I blame myself.

Hell, someone could push someone off a bridge ten feet away from me. I'd blame myself for not stopping them, and feel like shit underneath my big Texas smile.
