Super serious. Probably my best find all year. When I got there, this guy was walking out with a ps3, xbox, ps2 and a few sports games so I guess he missed it.

Probably a modern gamer that sold everything made before 2000.

Wife's snoring kept me awake so I Ebay'ed in bed on my Ipad. Got a few games I've been looking for at decent prices. PS1 Alundra (no manual) for 8 euros total; Kingdom Hearts (not Platinum/Greatest Hits) and Kingdom Hearts 2, both sealed for 14 euro each. All PAL.

Also went round all the used games shops in the country (both of them!!!) and grabbed a few complete PS2 games. Dirge of Cerebrus for 3 euros; Time Crisis 2 for 2; Zone of the Enders for 6. Probably will go again to pick another copy of Dirge for a friend of mine.

You know, I dont know what your problem is with being so negative but whatever has triggered this side of you in your life I wish you would get past it. I have seen so many negative or flaming comments on here from you that I can hardly stand when I see your avatar. Whatever hard-on you have for certain people has gone to the extreme and a "current mod" should be decent enough to step in and ask you to refrain from making comments that are either negative or just downright nasty. It is time for you to be a big boy and grow up and quit trying to tear down others.

If that's seen as "tearing down" or negative I sincerely apologize, I genuinely think of it as simply some light-hearted correction from a fellow community member and less "whiny" in tone than something like Hazerd's approach. I don't think that the mods should be the only ones to point out problems, and indeed this community has always been largely self-policed.

In any case, sorry that my avatar makes you cringe these days, but I haven't really changed my posting habits at all.

So what if I posted a printer? It is an electronic device that I use in support of my gaming. In this case, my finding of a backup compatible that is the same Driver, Margin Setting, Serial Port for all Operating Systems and Ink Cart to the exact same model I own since the Windows 95 days. Yeah just a printer, everyone has something they get excited about and like to share. So enjoy the story or ignore it, but no need to be mean.

Apologies for bringing this on, but I'm getting sick of the complainers too. Modman said it best.

If anyone on here seems to be pissed or ticked at the quality, quantity or rarity and condition of someone's finds then shut up and deal with it. A zinger or two for fun is fine, but seriously you guys have begun to sadden me in ways I couldn't have imagined when I last truly browsed the boards. If I buy something for $2 be it a Mario/Duck Hunt cart or a gold Nintendo World Championships cart the value is proportionate to the owner who wrote said post. Maybe I'm really proud to have found my super common cheapo cart in the wild in good shape as it may be difficult to obtain in my area, or maybe I just forgot all about said game and loved it more than any other as a kid. But no matter what digs and funny jabs aside I haven't actually gone as far as to complain about someone being proud or happy about simply finding something that can give them a modicum of happiness or enjoyment in their lives and for that I'm both disappointed and saddened with the way this community is changing and evolving.

CRT, bottom line is your post about a printer belonged in the non-gaming related finds thread, unless we start counting anything tangentially gaming related here. I could have reported your post to mods like a sneaky bastard, or I could provide a suggestion to move it in a whiny way, or I could do it in a way that was comical and friendly. I chose the final way.

Not reporting/ignoring is an option too, but this is a community that ideally/usually self-moderates. If we can't do that without being accused of being mean then this isn't really a community I still want to be part of.

My point is, now two pages later, we are still talking about the printer. Had you ignored it there probably wouldn't have been many, if any comments, and definitely less cheetos. Is one post in a hundreds of pages topic going to ruin the whole thread? and technically the thread is called 'video game' look what I found, not video game and video game related look what I found. The pad I posted isn't a game. People have posted systems and controllers, those aren't games. Did you weigh your 3-4 choices then as well, or did it meet some other arbitrary criteria you established. The gameboy had a printer. the poster wrote a paragraph detailing why the printer is game related for him. That's good enough for me. can we move on now?

You'd think so, but it continues to find its way into a multitude of threads.

I understand self-policing the site, but why not do it via PM? Thats how Mods do it.

This isn't the first thread that has been thrown into a ridiculous tangent from this.


On Topic: I found this badass game in a box from mrmjmjrjm25



Knights of Valor! (And he was kind enough to supply me with a PGM Mobo, so that I can do more than just look at the game )

Pretty awesome beat em up! Much more in depth than I am used to seeing beat em ups be, with tons of fighting game-esk moves, berzerk mode, supers, alternate paths, and 4p action! (That I have no way of accessing)

I'll post some pics of the hardware later, but it looks just like the stuff in Mike's PGM guide.
