As far as compilations go. There are some good ones, but I always find issues with them. The emulation for the PS2 Samurai Shodown Anthology is great, but you cannot turn the smoothing filter off. The Fatal Fury Battle Archives 1 & 2 are solid, but they used bloodless US AES roms. Metal Slug Anthology has head scratching load times and the emulation is hit or miss throughout every game on the disc.
Sam Sho Anthology is not great, its amazing lol! I, much like you wasn't to fond about the filter that can't be disabled, but if you play on a S-vid connection, it still looks really good. I just love me some FF BA 1 &2 very much. Yeah the censorship sux but the emulation is spot on which counts more to me. If you need the blood intact you can always import the JPN version (which is what I did). World Heroes Antho and AOF Antho are fine compilations though!

Reposting because it fell off the page. I want to discuss this without it being lost:

OK, so this and the Max Anarchy demo are the only thing my PS3 has been good for lately.

I have been thinking about the differences between the original MVS release and the PSN NeoGeo Station release.

Does anyone have both versions to compare?

The NGS release feels a bit easier. The health and medal bonuses are gone after levels and your characters seem generally tougher and can take more hits in team mode. Also, characters slow down after frequent use... like they are getting tired. Example: Milky crawls at a turtle's pace after 2 or 3 stages. I dont' remember that happening in the original.

Yep, it's the same.

Add: Not sure if I posted this earlier in the thread, but here's a video of mugenmidget and I playing online.

It's a good example to see the possible differences I listed above.

Sweet im going to have to figure out some way to snag it soon.

I have a soft spot for games with Techno
I purchased the Extreme G games and Karous for the dreamcast almost entirely because of the music in game

All the NeoGeo Station games actually have a pretty nice sound test menu so you can just loop the music if you like. :D
