it actually didn't take me too long to brainstorm a bunch of games that I'd rather be playing. As such, I think I've whittled it down to a pretty solid list that I might just transition to:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Cthulhu Saves the World
Daytona USA
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Indigo Prophecy
Sonic Adventure
SSX3
Super Contra
X-Men

...that's 9 games anyway, so I'm getting close.
You might save those first two for "dsheinem's Month of Horror"

haha don't worry I never have a shortage of unplayed horror-related games.

EDIT:

I'm not 100% on Sam & Max though as a 10th...

I had thought of Panzer Dragoon, but you need to beat Orta to unlock it. And I didn't think Orta was as "must play" as the original?

Alan Wake looks up my alley, but it's probably kind of similar in tone to Indigo Prophecy...

What about Golden Eye Reloaded? Is that one worth playing?

I could also consider RE4 as I've never made it all that far in the game.

I've never played Ninja Gaiden Black either... <-- this might make a really good #10.

-----------

EDIT: Yeah, so I think this unless anyone has a compelling argument why one of the others above should be swapped in there.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Cthulhu Saves the World
Daytona USA
Garou: Mark of the Wolves
Indigo Prophecy
Ninja Gaiden Black
Sonic Adventure
SSX3
Super Contra
X-Men

Uggh. I want to start, but I don't own 10 games I haven't beaten. I'm working on Witcher 2 and still need to beat Pikmin. I'll have to buy more... Wait, I have Harvest Moon 64 I still need to "beat".

You've got like 2/3 months (or however you've decided)

you could easily start on the list and order some other games while you're working on it.

Sabrage approved. You've never beaten Symphony? Which version of Garou are you playing?

@Noise - Have you played the new Goldeneye on Wii? Reloaded is pretty much a direct port of that with some extras.

@sabrage: never beat SOTN. Always been a bigger fan of linear Castlevanias. So I'll give it a serious go. Garou is on XBLA.

@fox: Never played any 007 FPS games. I'm not a fan of 007 movies. And never was into FPS too hardcore. And wasn't a N64 fan. (that's a bunch of fuel for flames, eh?)

EDIT: Oh crap. I thought a 4GB 360 had a 4GB HDD in it. Apparently no. It's 4GB memory that isn't an HDD. So that means I need to get an HDD still so I can play original Xbox games on it. :?
