for new stuff, best buy or target, considering i work there
for old stuff, i'm all about this place called cool stuff right by my house. they price everything really well (way cheaper than ebay) and usually for the most part have a good amount of stuff to choose from. its where i got a ton of snes and genesis games for dirt cheap. and the best part is the staff is pretty knowledgeable so they can usually help with any troubleshooting or game reccomendations
and a little further away theres a joint called replays which is a little pricier but usually has better stuff to choose from, and a knowledgeable staff as well. and finally we've got video game heaven which is priced almost exactly the same as ebay, but the one time i went there had a ton of titles i dont see often. IE: final fantasty 3, super mario rpg, earthbound, etc. but like i said; ebay prices. those arent for me. i guess when i get really desperate and dont want to pay shipping, thats where i'll go
and finally when theres nowhere else to turn; game stop.

Depends. I usually go to my local Play N' Trade. They have everything, from atari 2600 to PS3. They sometimes have the cheepest prices in my community. I then usually go to Gamestop/Game Crazy. I'm fortunate enough to have the two stores extremely close to each other (ie 300-500 feet???). If I can't find what I need there, My last resort is Target. It has been good to me over the years.
I do a lot of game shopping at Goodwill and a local flea market I recently discovered. Also, since a new Play N Trade opened 5 minutes away from my house, I'm sure I will be there often.
I try to avoid Gamestop, but their used Gamecube collection sometimes lures me in. And I absolutely loathe Best Buy, but I find myself in there on occasion - usually after Christmas holidays when I have a gift card or two.

They have an amazing video game selection and I've found some rare stuff there for cheap. LEt me see....Valkyrie Profile(complete) for 30, Suikoden(complete), Popful mail(missing back art) and SHining force CD(complete, mint) for 25 each, MUSHA(cart only) for 12....tons of genesis stuff for around 4- 6 bucks. Plus they give great trade credit for used games and they have an unconditional 7 day return. You don't like a game....play it for 7 days and bring it back for a full refund...not just store credit. Best rental system ever! I've heard good things about Play 'n Trade...but never been. I buy alot of Ps2 stuff at record stores...they always have stuff really cheap there.
hells ya for bookmans my brother deseret industries thrift stores are awesome too mike tysons punch out for like 3 or 5 I dont remember
I hate you. You've got one only five minutes away, while I have to ride over an hour to the nearest one. They really need to open something closer by, preferably near the Food Lion. It's in this plaza that also have a Dollar Tree and an RC Theatre (nothing special, just 4 auditoriums and a few arcade games). And the best theatre is ALSO an hour away.glynnahab wrote:Also, since a new Play N Trade opened 5 minutes away from my house, I'm sure I will be there often.
Did anybody here go to Rhino while they were still around? Not only were they good about keeping old games, they made sure there were quite a few quality titles with boxes and instructions. The one we had in Auburn had a complete copy of Lufia 2...but it was running for $60.00, so I never did get my hands on it...
