What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Is it better than Alien 3?

That's all I ask of it...

Nah, I'll never get the Aliens hate. Alien is more of a classic, timeless "film" to me, but I still freaking love Aliens.

I would definitely put this above anything beyond that though, Aliens 3, the AvP's of course, etc.

I still say go watch it. It just left me a little empty walking out of it.

Aliens hate is new to me

I mean I know there's a minority that doesn't seem to care for it but yeah.

What?

Liking one movie more than another means I hate it?

I love ALIENS, but PROMETHEUS is better in my book.
Again, ALIENS is really dumb, but PROMETHEUS is over the top stupid.

GAME OVER MAN, WE'RE SCREWED, WE'RE SCREWED!

Yeah I didn't mean to point at you there, but I've just heard that a lot in general over the years.

This seems interesting, gonna read it in a bit. Spoilers obviously:

Probably further emphasis' the silliness though, heh.

That article is as hilarious as the movie. PROMETHEUS isn't David Chase's THE SOPRANOS. Yerp, there is a lot of "Darwinism vs Christianity" references, but seriously, the writer may have well deciphered DUMB AND DUMBER to tell us how Loyd was the embodiment of Truth and only through him could Harry change his ways.

I was very, very entertained with PROMETHEUS, but over-analyzing a movie with at least a dozen plot holes is even dumber than dumb and dumberer.

See it (in 3D), enjoy it, laugh at it. No need to analyze it.

That said I didn't think the 3D was all that. It was nothing compared to how well Avatar utilized it. Prometheus is obviously the better movie, but yeah.

Sounds like a new Blade Runner really could happen.

Well, I dunno... if Ridley is heavily involved and they have the original writer onboard, it could maybe be good. But needed? Nah...

As much as I love Aliens... Scott can direct circles around Cameron any day.

I watched Prometheus (in 2D).

I was going to make a lengthy post but screw it. There's just too much bullshit and plot holes to sift through.

Overall, it's a good film; just don't take it seriously... at all...
