the only frustrating parts to me are ones that take multiple screens. Y'know like falling through multiple screens of spikes arranged differently? It gets rough. Haha. But yeah it's definitely wicked fun.

Yeah, that part just takes some memorization. Luckily, there aren't that many of them. What areas have you done?noiseredux wrote:the only frustrating parts to me are ones that take multiple screens. I'm not actually sure? I've spent about a half hour so not that far.o.pwuaioc wrote:What areas have you done?
EDIT:
slightly pissed. I spent $6 for Fahrenheit on GOG so that I could play the full uncensored version. I knew that the 360 controller didn't work right for right analog stick. But I figured it would work fine with my Logitech F310 PC pad. Nope. Still won't read the right analog stick.

So I've been playing Nibbler, and been improving. Today, I finally passed my best score on MAME.

4,656,950. Got to Wave 94. My goal was to get to Wave 99 and to beat it to loop back to Wave 80.
So close.

So I made some more progress on Resident Evil 4. I beat the first major boss, who wasnt so hard because I had ludicrous amount of machine gun ammo I hadnt used, and about 10 grenades to hand, and I just entered a castle area. I'm finding having Ashley around to be a bit of annoyance frankly, especially as the game has a habit of spawning some enemies behind you even though there were none there a second ago. I wouldn't mind TOO much if they just tried to kidnap her all the time, but I'm finding that they seem pretty keen on stabbing her in the head with a pitchfork instead, making me waste lots of herbs.

Played some "D" last night from 1:30am-3:00am.This game has to be a top ten game for me.From an artistic point of view and what it achieved for the time..Just Wow..You guys already know I'm on a 3DO kick, but have to say this version is the best out of the 3 I've played (sat,ps1).The colors are more vibrant, the textures are detailed and sharp, the interaction/active story of this game is a classic masterpiece.
Also my daughter is sorta joining in on the fun to,this summer she learned how to select her own movies on Netflix,Pick and play her games from our Gamecube collection, and learned to control the movement much better on controllers!

If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Metroid Prime 2 is coming along nicely - I think that this game might be pretty short, though. Unless the game's structure diverges vastly after the 'main quest' bit, I should have it wrapped up in a week or so, work permitting.
It's a good game - but I agree with those who said that it does not feel like it is that vital a part of the Prime story line. With the except of an introduction of a single character, I have not seen anything in this game's plot that was not handled better by Prime 3.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

for those that played VVVVVV, I think I need help. I've rescued everyone except Violet. When I go into the Characters screen she's the only one that says "Missing." Uh... where is she? Haha.
EDIT: Actually, a larger question... see, I'm not sure I even understand the objective of VVVVVV. I feel like it's so much exploring. I've been all over the map for over an hour, but I'm not really sure how you'd beat the game. I can't get a clear answer. I tried googling and it says there are levels in the game... which I assume are the colored sections of the map. But I don't understand how you know which levels are considered beaten? Or... what's the actual goal?

The game "ends" when you rescue everybody.

I gave up on that game during the annoying escort mission stuff. Not sure if was near the end. Did you pass that?noiseredux wrote:for those that played VVVVVV, I think I need help.
