A few weeks ago I was waiting somewhere and I saw a cnn program with kristie lu stout.

I'm going to be honest, I don't follow modern games too much and when I first heard of the Wii U and saw the controller I thought it was just an add on for the Wii too

Not to add fuel to the fire, but a bunch of my friends bought the PS3 because "It was a great Blu-Ray player that also plays games". It's about marketing "adaptation and multitasking".o.pwuaioc wrote:PS2 is both a game console and a DVD player.
The sole intent of a console is to sell games; without a doubt. But with that comes competition and "My console can do this!", so wi-fi, net browsing, movie watching, netflix, etc., are now all a part of the equation.
When you break it down to brass tacks, every new console is an entertainment HUB, not only a game system.
