it's great! really sweet, hoppy and easy to drink (creamy) and boasts a deceivingly high APV. if you can find it on draft - get down. if you find it in bottle - get down. my girlfriend who hates beer actually likes it.

I don't care for rum, as I'm much more of a whiskey guy. I always found the stuff too sweet. But at 92 proof, Sailor Jerry's packs a bit more of a punch and its flavor is unique (from what I've sampled).

I made Rummy Bears with Bacardi, and they're pretty damned good (great movie snack). Thinking of making some with 151, which should provide that punch you mention.
