Can it be dangerous? Sega Saturn console to a LCD 1080p.

Can it be dangerous? Sega Saturn console to a LCD 1080p.

Post by gamingmatrix »

I just bought a Sega Saturn console off of eBay. I have a SAMSUNG LCD 1080p HDTV television. Is it safe to connect a Sega Saturn console to this TV or would I risk damaging the it?

If it is okay to connect it to that TV, what are the best cables to use to get the best image quality possible from a Sega Saturn console?

Thanks.

I think he's just bragging that he's got a 1080p LCD. :)

Man, this poor guy is never going to ask for our advice again...

Hi,

I wasn't aware that it was improper to post the same thread in two different discussion areas. Sorry about.

Also, I am not bragging that I have a 1080p TV. Why would I? They are not expensive to buy these days.

I am just concerned about the life of my TV.

Thank you to all.

Hey guys. I read this thread when it was first posted and thought that newer Tv's, especially LCD couldn't have burn in BUT tonight I was using create a character for Soul Caliber 4 and had to leave because of an emergency and when I got back (seven hours later) there is burn in from the character creator (Two HUGE boxes and all of the options inside of those boxes). If anyone knows how to fix burn in PLEASE let me know!

for LCD's try leaving the TV off for a day or two. Yes it will be horrible but unlike plasma, LCD's actually dont get burn in, they get crystal memory. If you dont use your TV for a long period of time they should return to normal (My PC LCD used to get the boxes when I had a 360 about a year ago). As for what to do during that long wait to play some more Soul Caliber 4 or you Sega Saturn, get outside and just enjoy the world that provides us with such nice things. :D
