Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Went back to Goodwill today and actually found the FFIV disc that was missing from the copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles that I bought the other day. Got it for $2.50.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I think I said somewhere on here before that there is a great deficiency of anything Sega in my local area. I'm not exactly sure why that is, but I guess you can just caulk it up to this area being more Nintendo oriented during the 16-bit days.
So because of that whenever I find anything Sega related I tend to get stupidly excited. Especially when I walk into Ye Old Usually Overpriced Thrift Store.
I hadn't planned on visiting it at all, but mom had asked me to meet her at the eye doctors so that I could help her pick out some new frames. As it turned out she got in to see the doc early, so I found myself with a half hour to kill and I decided to take a quick peak in at the thrift. I found most of the following in the VHS section, all nicely lined up in a row on the middle shelf:

Cases and Games only:
Toejam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron
TMNT: Hyperstone Heist
Shadowrun
Simpsons: Barts Nightmare
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (Torn label. Damn)
Shadow of the Beast (Three page Black/White Printed & Stapled manual...*shrugs*)
I was a bit bummed about the lack of manuals here, but MK3 did have a nice little poster to compensate:

Also picked this up. I'd never heard of it before, but I liked the oddly shaped cart.

Fantastic Dizzy
Then I walked by the register and my happy day was complete:

Complete:
Maximum Carnage
Final Zone
Sol-Deace
Rocket Knight Adventures (Ripped manual, but still good.)
I've been wanting Rocket Knight Adventures for a while now, so I'm really psyched to have found it locally and complete.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a lot of these are old rentals, based on some of the sticker residue I found on them. I got most of it off, but you can still see some it still on a couple of the cases. The Shadowrun cart was pretty bad, but I cleaned it up for the most part. There's still a little fading on the label, but it looks a hella lot better than it did.
Very happy overall though
Total damage, with tax: $11.66

Its a pun/slang with a gaming twist
He wants to give you a $5 or $10 for it. A cool spot.
