You can pick up Rockman World 5 (the Japanese Mega Man V) for a LOT cheaper on eBay usually. It's the same game, the story is in Japanese but the menus are all in English. It's a Mega Man game so the story isn't really that complex and you can look it up anyway.

Just a suggestion for anyone who wants to play this awesome game without selling a kidney. Mega Man IV is spectacular as well, pretty much a tie for V in terms of quality though it's not as original.

Also nobody's mentioned Gargoyle's Quest yet. It may be outshone by its sequels a bit but it's a fantastic Game Boy Game.

Mole Mania is also a fun little puzzle-adventure game made almost entirely by Shigeru Miyamoto.

Other than that o.pwuaioc's is pretty much spot on for quality Game Boy titles, it's almost exactly what I own, lol.

That LED light/cover is awesome! I got one for my GBCs as I came out to Afghanistan.
Only issue is that one of the plastic legs (not one of the rubber bumper ones) came off going across the Atlantic. And one of the sides is showing stress marks which looks kind of confusing considering where it's at (I'll have to post a picture)
If the damage was from transit, then I'm surprised because I tried to baby my Gameboy the whole way over. The legs don't feel like they'd need a lot of force to break off, but I superglued the bejeezus out of that thing. Haven't had any issues since I've been in country

But as far as the light goes. It's AWESOME. I just wish the fixture would stay on better.
I may consider modding a Handy Pak (the obnoxiously huge magnifier/Speaker/Light combo) when I get home.

And I don't know how this happened, but 11 of our guys are now buying Gameboy Colors and Pokemon Yellow and having an all out tournament before we leave.

So if anyone has been watching auctions for Pokemon Yellow and Atomic Purple GBCs and suddenly a ton of them have disappeared from your watch list; sorry, we caused that sinkhole.

^^^

I never did those, because it was the first person to rare candy cheat wins... Not sure if it's applicable in Yellow. But in Red/Blue that's all me and my friends did.

Wow man, GBA stuff has really died down in price. I didn't even notice. It's great though, that system had some really nice games.

THIS, be sure its the brighter lit 101 model. All the gameboy games work, the GBA SP FITS in the front pants pocket. GameCube GBPlayer is the perfect topping with both on the go and home gaming covered for the same cart.
I completely agree with this.

You've got me looking at GameBoy Colors for my girlfriend now..The nice thing about the portable systems is that the carts are so much smaller, they're a lot easier to store.
Current systems: Nintendo Switch and XBox 360,

? Seriously. I thought the older Gameboys were like all other old cartridge systems. Pretty indestructible. I mean I can't tell you the number of times (when I was much younger) that I hit, punched, or threw my gameboy, and it always came back and asked for another.

Well I bought the thing beat up as it was and it came from someone who never took care of his stuff.

That's a spot of sore luck. The whole Game Boy line is usually monstrously tough.
