Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Video game related random thought:
Over vacation at the shore I decided to walk the boardwalk and see what arcades they had, who knows maybe they had a really awesome one? Well they didn't, as I had feared. As expected it was all just pointless crap that spat out tickets to you so you could win some shitty souvenir. The only games they had worth mentioning was some old Galaga machine and the pre-requisite Time-Crisis. It kinda disappointing, but the place wasn't that big to begin with so I understand they needed to make space. Actually most of the video games there were racing games, which I have zero interest in. I wish arcades hadn't fallen so far by the wayside, I would have loved to go into one during their heyday.

I had a runner's high while out running tonight, right near the end. I didn't know that was possible on a 2-mile run, but hey, I'm not complaining.

Been gone for about 3 months... Did I miss anything around here?
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
There's a troll on the loose, Ryan sold his collection, bought it all again, sold it off again, then rebought it again, ponies cause arguments, s1mplehumar had a baby, mjmjr25 tossed his children, shmup of the month has been abandoned and instead there's RPG of the week, and Saturn 3D controllers are all of a sudden super rare now and worth hundreds of dollars.

The (former) best arcade in the state of Maine (Old Orchard Beach) is like this too now. Nearly every machine is just a "win tickets" game, the only true games still in there are Galaga/Pac-Man, Ninja Turtles, The Lost World, and X-Men. Oh yeah, and the X-Men cabinet is right near one of the entrance doors so it's nearly impossible to play during the day due to the sun's glare!
