What Was/Is Your Major?

Post by racketboy »

What was/is your major in college/university?

I started as Computer Science with a minor in Graphic Design.

When I went back to finish my degree, they split the CS major so I became Computer Information Systems.
I finished with a minor in e-Business Systems since it required less extra credits.

Major in Mathematic Study and Research
Minor in Secondary Education (some bullshit psychology classes to say I am capable of teaching a high school)

I want to teach High School... but I refuse to major in secondary education. I remember a long time ago when I took PreCalc to refresh my self in my trig I sat next to this older women who was getting her Bachelor's in Secondary Education. I had said I wanted to be a math teacher and she said... "Oh you must be excited as this is the last Math class you'll have to take!"

I looked back at her and told her I wanted to be a MATH teacher and continued to imply that this must be the reason why my teachers in high school really fucking sucked!

I'm planning to go into Graphic Design and CGI Animation. Basically 3-D models, landscape, and such. I'm still not completely sure myself.

2 associates finished by summer: Computer Networking Hardware (and Software). I'm looking into options to start towards a MS in Information Security via distance learning.

Forget Netware unless your job requires it. Do some *nix instead.
